3 weeks ago you said different. Yep 11th of May you said:

"I think penrith will struggle to make the 8. NRL favours city teams and $hit on the west.
It is why soccer and AFL will kill the game that we call NRL, there is only so much the fans will take before they go stick it.

Im a massive Moylan fan. Thou i think Bryce Cartwright is garbage.Plods up to line and i dont get the love.
"

Are you putting crap on Hindy111's Schizophrenic condition?

Keeping long serving players just because they're eligible for cap concessions is a mistake.

I could seriously find you 10 props in lower grades who can do at least what Mannah has this season. I think it reflects poorly on him that he hasn't added anything to his game in 7 seasons of 1st grade.

I think it's now $250k for the long serving player.

The issue with Mannah and alll the other front rowers we have, is that they are all your 2nd, 3rd and 4th best in the team. We have no "No 1 Front Rower" in the team who can do what's needed. Look at all the top teams in the NRL, every single one of them has a Front Row Enforcer or Leader in the middle. We need one more front rower better than Mannah, Wicks and The Big Unit. We don't have that and until we get that we will not achieve much more than we are at the moment.

Yeh, that's fair comment. Moving Mannah just won't help us buy a #1 front rower.

The day Tim leaves the club will be in my top 5 greatest eels moments, and from what ive heard this day will be coming last round of this year, if he lasts that long, im hearing he will be paid out and let go, a decade too late, his personality has rotted our pack for as long as he has been here, great bloke but devoid of charisma, smarts, he has zero on field presence, is one dimensional, he has zero leadership, he talks like a brain damaged version of Mike Tyson, he couldnt inspire a turd out of a dogs ass after its had 4 cans of pal, ive said it for as long as he has been at the club he has been holding us back.
Tims always been an ass kisser, always too afraid to say anything to rock the boat, He has made one side of our bookend as weak as piss for years.
Tims personality perfectly mirrors our pack and team for as long as hes been here, boring, uninspiring, leaderless, dopes and dreamers, you only have to listen to him in the pressers, the blokes as boring and inspiring as bat shit, and i was well and truly over him 6 years ago.
Give us another bullshit preseason interview tim about how good we are, how much weve changed and grown, how good the new coach is, has anybody ever heard him utter one word against the grain?
Tims a perfect example of a follower, would have made an honest bench player his whole career, he will never be remembered as a top shelf prop, but he will be remembered as a great guy.
Enjoy your last year Tim, thanks for your time with the club, all the best to you in life after footy.

I couldn't give a shit if he stays or goes but one thing is for sure in 2016, he should not be the captain. I would give it to Peats or Foran. I suspect Foran may have been promised that honour during negotiations.

I couldn't agree more.
Forego the concession. He offers nothing.

You know what? I reckon if Mannah had always been a player with another club, everyone here would think he was a waste of space.
But no, he's always been blue and gold and is a nice bloke so we should keep him, apparently. Oh, we get a concession for his salary as well.
I'm sorry, but we should do everything we can to off-load him.
It's not the money or the concession. It's the attitude and what he offers on the field as OUR LEADER. OUR CAPTAIN.

No wonder we are coming last.

I thought when Mannah got married last year he would have taken his game to another level..

So we move him on, and magically do so without paying any freight.....let's assume that's true. We take $200k max (probably $150k) off our cap expenditure. Do we get a better player for that? If so, fine.

I'm no fan of Mannah, and have pointed out his limitations for some time. But I do not see how we better spend the money. It's not as if we are talking about a dickhead who poisons the minds of his mates. He's just an average (or slightly below if you like) prop.

One can argue that it isn't about money...but it is unavoidably about money (or cap space more accurately) at least partly.

Once we have confirmation that Hayne will not return and he 'makes it' I suspect the last of his two mates will be shown the door.

I'm stuffed if I can understand your forlorn hope about Hayne coming back but I do hope your right about moving on Mannah and Seffa.

Mannah will see out his contract at the very least - get used to it. As others have said, he is far from being the worst of our problems.

Is there any player in the game that has stagnated more than Mannah? He has actually regressed because he no longer gets quick play the balls.

He very rarely gets rolled over and still has a faster play the ball than most IMO.

Yeah Mannah is f**ken terrible, fair enough some don't like his leadership which aren't his fault the club thinks he should be captain. But putting that aside, he is a pretty bloody good prop ( yes with limitation).

If as someone mentioned they think they could find 10 other props as good him playing NSW cup, you really aren't watching the footy!!

He plays about 40 mins a game yet he is in

- the top 30 for runs ( this includes fullbacks)
- top 40 for run metres
- top 30 for tackles

In each of these stats he is in front of most of the props in game bar the elite few.

These are pretty decent stats, what more is he expected to do? He does his job which is to take the first hit up and set up the rest of the set. He works hard in the middle rarely missing tackles

f**k here we are giving it to Mannah, yet everyone's golden boy Wicks made the biggest defensive miss read last night that cost us the game!!!

Gee last night Souths at one stage look like scoring last night, and Mannah got Souths to turn the ball over. Saving our ass.

Yeah, just don't get the hate.

Sure, he aint setting the world on fire, but he is solid a dependable both in attack and defence. Least of our worries.

As mentioned, if all our long serving player allowance is being used on him, he isn't likely to be costing f**k all under the cap. Where do we find better value?

Exactly. And if Mannah's lack of leadership is the problem then the solution is that we are bringing in more influential players in droves - Watmough, Peats, Scott and Foran are all bigger personalities with higher profile.

Making Mannah the scapegoat is utter bullshit. He's not stopping anyone else from leading.
