Didnt want the bloke when he was first signed based purely on the fact of his diabolical resume and he reeked of amateur hour.

I take little glory in being proven correct.

Guarded Yes. Inherited a poor roster and has signed a lot of good of ageing players. My main gripe was releasing Tyrone.

Depends on who else is around at the time. If only the gnome with our budget.

The decision re Flanagan for 2015 needs to be made soon, we have potentially our best player off contract end of 2014 Andrew Fifita we need to ensure decision has been made.

Flanno comes over as nice guy but the club will probably move away from him, basically NRL will be pushing this, so i dont see us and Flanno together again.

Flanno will coach again at least assistant i see this with Storm

Why do you feel that the club will move away from him.

They sure seem to have sent signals that they will back him to the hilt thus far.

Like in most situations yes you back him to the hilt to starts, then the club will start to be pushed from certain places and will understand a clean break is what will get past this issue quicker.

If Flanno was Jame Hird different scenario there you have a HOF player who brings sponsorship to the club and is loved by fans as is Essendon all the way through

When I was playing our manager tried to get us a new coach.
So.... The entire team changed clubs , including the managers son .

Never underestimate the loyalty between coach and player.

Keep him
Changing coaches has got us nowhere .

Pretty much this. I've always thought he was a dunce (a nice bloke though) but he's managed the squad and kept Gals ego in check, which is no mean feat. Aside from the ASADA crap my main gripe is that we play with little flair and he has a very Ricky Stuart coaching template (knock em down, drag em out, win by 1 try, repeat.)

I just saw the banner news on ABC news 24 that the Sharks and Coach Phlaoughan are going to fight the fines and the suspension.

Has anyone heard anymore from the club.

We are talking about a team with little flair in attack. News flash!!!!!!
The club hasn't had decent flair in attack since ET and McGaw.We have had some very ordinary, team splitting coaches in the past who played favourites, with the style of play as predictable as a chunder at Northies.

I would stick with Flanno after whatever penance he has served. The players want him,the club seems impressedwith his efforts despite all the dramas this year, and a decent number of the fans would like him back .
I want a happy team,a happy team gets more wins than losses. The Tigers and Drgoons were unhappy teams this year as were the Western Slipperies
