For me it wasn’t just the result. It was the magnitude of it and the coaches surprise tactics throughout the match. I honestly thought he had learnt from the past, but I guess not.

The coach warned them before the Newcastle game that they would be formidable with their coach on the chopping block and certainly told them that Storm would be more than fired up after a poor performance and a Bellyache spray.

I know there are a bunch of you that are focused on the coaching staff (and they are not immune from criticism) but seriously 47 missed tackles, 24/32 completion rate, kick return metres 70 for us and 317 for them. That adds up to a flogging in any game.

Exactly right. After the STG match there was not one merkin here or professional commentators who didn’t want BA re-signed. The general consensus was that we had rediscovered our steel and were playing flamboyant footy.

I bet experienced guys like Wayne Bennett will tell you that teams who are emerging from a deep hole will be inconsistent. The hope is that inconsistent form translates more wins than losses.

The positive is the club has held off signing BA. 1000-1 we'll beat the cows in Townsville.

He’s assembled the team he wants, and this year it’s a decent one. If he can’t get them up for the big games then maybe it’s time someone else has a crack.

6 years is long enough, maybe it’s time we went in a different direction. If it costs us gutho, so be it. He’s very replaceable.

Gutherson has one good game ever two weeks then goes missing against the top teams.
A 650k player should play consistently every week.
