I have always felt that there is a disproportionate focus on the coach from merkins on here. Poor performances aren’t always down to the coach.



How many of those games were against Top 4 teams? A comparison against wood duck sides is irrelevant.

My point is we didn't have a superior side, only a more consistent side through the regular season. And our differential was +39 to their +24. A negligible difference. They had four players in Origin that year. We had none. Will Smith and Cameron King were our fullback and hooker ffs.

Since when did differential determine who will win or who’s favoured? You’re just making shit up again. Differential is only for ladder position, if teams finish on the same points.

My point is it's the best indicator of the quality of a team. Obviously it's not useful until after the season is over, but in nearly every case the teams with the best points differential - not ladder position - that perform best in the finals.

He played 238 games for them. If he was shit they would've figured it out long before that. The fact is he was the most highly paid player and they had the opportunity to bring in Cronk for less money. This allowed them to sign Tedesco and retain a bunch of other players. Scapegoating Pearce is just the narrative invented by small brains looking for a simple explanation.
