Why not compare coaches with the benchmark?
Cause it's embarrassing to ignore 5 of his 8 years and say that it's comparable to Bellamy.

Just plain embarrassing

No one can argue for Bushy. He has had more than enough time. It's time to move on.

I can't believe people actually still want him to stay......absolute morons.

I don't reckon Bellamy would've done much better with our resources. A large fan base and average pokie den don't translate to recruitment advantages. The big junior area doesn't either. How do you think the Roosters junior rep teams poach all the best players? It's got nothing to do with their local comp.

Imagine how easy it would be to coach a team with Smith, Cronk and Slater. Even Bushy would have been able to jag a few GFs!

Do players really dominate over both halves?

The game where Papenhuyzen scored four tries - after he scored his 4th, he was quiet.

I'd wager it's fairly unusual (but not impossible) for a player to dominate for the entire 80 minutes.

Even Thurston - who put on master-class performances against us time, and time again - generally orchestrated the Cowboys' win in the second half.

After half-time in that game against Souths, we started losing the ruck, and Gutherson was less effective.

The difference is these guys have grabbed a game turned it and won it on many occasions when on the line.
Yes Gutherson has blown teams apart and we've won well. But can you think of a tight battle with 20 to go where he was the difference and won it for us? He has had plenty of chances to do this. I lie I do recall one against Storm earlier this year. He was sensational and by far the best games I've seen him play.

Nah, bushy probably would have had slater on the bench and played him for 5-7 minutes a game....and he would have never switched cronk from a bench utility to a half-back...

Bellamy is a freak and deserves all his success, and comparing him with the bush coach is laughable.

He won us the game against the Raiders in Golden Point in 2020.

It's true that he maybe hasn't dominated as much as other players in a tight contest, but this is most likely down to Moses being the go to player when we need a miracle, over Gutherson - Moses is the guy who put the kick up for Sivo against Melbourne.

It was Gutherson's short kick-off against Penrith that helped win us the penalty that almost won us the game.

I think it’s more laughable to suggest that Bushy would have played Slater for 5-7min a game.

The comparison wasn’t made because anyone thinks BA is a good as Bellamy. But keep believing that and pretending you are smarter than the rest of us.

Speaking to a dragons fan today and talking about wayne bennett. He said that he was happy bennett took them to a premiership and wouldn't take it back.

But also said people quickly forget the style of play the dragons were playing under him. He said it was quite boring and dragons just grinded their way to victory most of the time because of the ageing squad he had. He coached them to the strengths.

Compare to souths now where he has a lot more attacking players so he lets them play with more flair.

So in short he was trying to tell me if bennett signs with Parra it doesn't necessarily mean we will turn into a attacking masters. If anything we may become more boring than what we already to suit the roster like the dragons.

I am still in favour of him as i believe he will have the players believe they can win it and can fix a mental block this club has had since 1986 in getting the players to believe they can win a comp.

That’s being really disingenuous. All of those players are gone for the storm now and they’re still killing it.
I was just commenting on the data that was presented which excluded recent Storm years.

Every coach needs good leaders and Parra are thin on the ground in that department.

Not for a second trying to diminish what Bellamy has done. He's a genius.
