I find it hard to believe there is any real meaningful cap on football operations/coaching when Bellamy gets 1.4 to 1.7m offers ... are the storm then really gonna operate on way unders in all other aspects? Cant believe so ... maybe there are ways around it? Im sure the storm and broncos would know
Im not sure the term luxury tax really means a tax you can write off ... i always thought it was a figurative "tax"At worst they just pay the luxury tax without batting an eyelid and use it as a small tax write off.
Arthur groupies ignore the factsLol he didn’t even read the article he posted.

Ohhhh ok - by write off you mean included with all other expensesI meant it more as just another business expense that can be written off at the end of the year / quarter /etc. not a direct tax write off .

If Bellamy was to take over next season and Brisbane were to pay out Bennett, the estimated cost of both their salaries would consume almost half of the club's $5.7 million football department salary cap unless they back-ended Bellamy's contract.
However, doing so would be difficult as the Broncos are one of the clubs who need to slash their football department spending by up to $2.5 million to comply with the ceiling, which is policed as a soft cap for the first three years before attracting a luxury tax of 37 cents for every dollar exceeded.
In other words, if Brisbane were to spend $1 million more than the $5.7 million cap, they would have to pay $370,000 as well as the cost of any settlement with Bennett, who is reportedly paid about $1 million per year.
You forgot to ping.so Gronk's unsourced posts that we'd have to spend less are bullshit

But how can you undertake a serious review if you have already determined your action re the coach be it favourable or unfavorable? To my mind it makes a mockery of the entire process unless the comments re BAs tenure are just paper talk which may well be the case.Pretty sure the review is a complete operational top to bottom analysis, so the head coach is only part of it.
Maybe they had a "secret" review and Green came up smelling of roses. If thats the case fingers crossed our reviewers are a different mob.Why cowboys sign Green when they were going crap earlier in the year? (and continue to be crap)
Watch him go MIA......so Gronk's unsourced posts that we'd have to spend less are bullshit

Gronk is living realistically in the world of Frank .... where paying 2 head coach salaries aint gonna happen .... we arent the f**king Broncosso Gronk's unsourced posts that we'd have to spend less are bullshit

OK let's play your game and sack the coach. I'll put you in charge of the club for the next 10 mins.
You now have to pay out BA, pay the new coach out of the 2019 $5.7m football department budget. Merkins have been complaining that we are under resourced, however you need to make cuts. What cuts are you going to make ?
PS Do you know that there is a football department salary cap now ? Did you know that if you sack the coach then we'll need to cut funding in other areas ?
If you bothered to read my post in the Do We Want BA as Coach (this) thread (I pinged you) you would have seen that the NRL have a coaching staff cap and if we sack BA we’d have to cut staff bc the old coach and new coach salary is counted under the staff cap.
You are still ignoring the fact that sacking a coach comes out of your staff cap next year plus the new coach's salary.
So whether BA is on $600K or the rumored $1m is beside the point. The club still needs to make cuts to their staff if they sack the coach.
Do you understand this ?
Sorry. Listened again. Didnt say "A" Game. Said "both teams bought their BEST game". Id suggest all Parra fans watch that Presser. OMG. I have even less faith for the future listening to both BA and Tim following that game.
I never said its what gronk said you twit .... i just said gronk lives in the real world where there is no f**king chance our admin will throw money around willy nillythat's incorrect
this is what he has said
we would not have to cut staff or spending because that's not how it works
Frank and Bernie aren't probably even spending what we can anyway
and where in f**ks name has it been rumoured we're paying Arthur $1 million?
