Not overly thrilled by the prospect of Sandow at Parramatta, but if they are going down that route if the results don't come then the board will have to answer to the members come the elections the following year.
More positive about the signing of Symonds, at least it is showing they are looking to the younger players.

People sayin they will have him for 800K but not 1mil believe what the daily telegraph tells them.

Yeah fair enough - I didn't believe a word of their claim that Osborne was talking to Kearney during the season last year ...they're always wrong .

I wasn't totally happy with the prospect of getting Sandow but when I look at how many games of 1st grade he's played and considering he's only 22, his best is yet to come.

Sandow is precisely the type of player good coaching can improve him out of this world. Bennett likes him and I have no doubt Bennett would have turned him into a very good player. Can Kearney and Arthurs do that?

Sandow is a move in a direction.... exactly what direction will be seen next year.

Robson or Sandow and when you consider age, there is only one direction this is taking us and that's forward.

Sandow has a better

- running game
- passing game
- kicking game
- not better than Robson in defence

So 3/4 over Robson.

Now if we could only have a good fullback and move Hayne to 6

We won't see the direction it takes until next year. Yes, potentially Sandow is better than Robson. That isn't up for debate. What is is that there are players who have similar or better potential than Sandow who are both cheaper and will take similar time to fit into the team.

One thing is certain, Hindmarsh won't be getting the premiership he richly deserves anytime soon.

defence is just as (if not more) important that attack, so essentailly we have gone backwards in one area in a big way imo, to improve in another area?

Im probably in the minority here, but id rather stick with robbo/morts and improve our style of play , forget this structure crap its not parramatta (get back to offloads and capatalising on half breaks), and either wait for a marquee half or 5/8th to be available, OR purchase a young up and commer with the right ingrediants we need eg organiser with a level head, sound defence with a sublime kicking game

Agree with Colonel on Hindy :(

We have a marquee 5/8 mate, his name is Jarryd Hayne. Now that we have a proper 7, we can move him to 6. Hayne would have far too much pressure playing in the halves with Robson or Mortimer.

Agree defence is important but if Robson misses a tackle like he did in 2009 GF, then he has no use.

If we could only sign Hopa for fullback and it would be a 2012 season to savour

Sandow just showed why he will be a good signing for us.

Pure speed, something our halves lack at the moment.

speed - check

massive 40/20 when his team needed it - check

well he's 2 up on our halves

Morts cant even kick 40m unless there is a fullback waiting to catch it
