Should do it automatically

Is there anyway to retire from certain forms of the game?
Im doing quite well in the T20s and P40s, but suck at the 4day game (have no idea why), so I wouldnt mind retiring from that form and sticking to what I enjoy

Also, I hate the Yorkshire openers for T20.
I'm number three, and two or three times they've gone out unbeated and plodded a score with a runrate of about 3 or 4. Easily run down or no where near target.

You get the updated rosters on PS3 through the community downloads section. You can even get some user made umpires.

As for the graphic updates, that's a PC only thing. The guys over at planet cricket pretty much drive all the mods available for the game.

Bought this the other day.

Love it. Imo, the best cricket game ever.

I started a career as a 16-year old leg-spinning all-rounder batting at 4, and the bowling mechanics rule.

I struggled with the bat at first - kept running my partners out. Then I hit an unbeaten 205 against WA and haven't looked back.

Love this game!

Jumped on last night to have am play while watching the Ashes. It's a new career and I'm about halfway through the first season as first drop batsman. Been getting 8's and 20's and even a Niney.

Started a new test against Tasmania who scored 500 :(

Hit 133 and 110 and won MOM despite losing. I think i have the bug back and will probably dump another 400 hours in now haha.

I am struggling at first drop for the blues at the moment averaging a woeful 18 with a high score of 61. I had a good BBL thou scoring about 200 runs at an average of 30. Do you get the chance to move states at any point in your career? and does you age effect how effective you are as a batsman. Wish i had made myself a middle order batsman now.

Don't think you can change states.
I've found NSW are generally shit in the game, and we get flogged just about every game. Not sure if ages affects you.

I was struggling in my new career for the last 6 or 7 matches (test and one dayers) so I started a new test and blocked the first 20 or 30 balls. Just block after block. Was on 3 runs after 40 balls or so. Gave me a bit more confidence that I could read the ball a bit better and i went on to get 94.

The first season or so really is about patience and searching out easy runs. Knock it into the gaps. I find when I have fielders in catching positions in front of me, cutting the ball works just about every time. Then when they move to cut off that shot, move to driving the ball back past the bowler.

Also, in matches where you get reviews, use them every time. Ump doesn't always get it right.

Then again, your name is 'Wato' so that could be it. I'm getting a feeling you use the review every time anyway! :p

yea i always save my reviews already got a few tough calls given out caught behind when nothing showed up on hot spot thou they did not over turn that because of snicko. i find the short ball it what gets me or occasionally a play at a ball that is angled across me stumps and get a faint edge to the keeper. what camera angle do you use?

Might have to blow the dust off mine to tide me over until RLL3

I was first drop, might make myself an opener this time round.

started a new career as opening bat for nsw, 16 years old, left hander

started off pretty good with a couple of 40's, not much else to speak of

as mentioned before the key appears to be showing restraint and seeing out the first 30 to 40 balls faced before you start playing your shots.

and just like in real life it's only a poor shot that is getting me out as opposed to good bowling

I use the camera angle from behind the batsman, the far one i think.

I've played a few matches in first person and it's alright but I find harder to play shots and much harder to time blocking. I do find first person is easier for knowing where your off stump is so leaving is easier though.
