I had a good few hour session last night, and finished my rookie season with a 1st class average of mid 50's.

Started a new season with a plan to really focus on watching the ball rather than the line and playing accordingly. First innings of the new season I hit 329* and was so in it wasn't funny. I would have got to 400+ I reckon if the game didnt do that f**king auto declare at 500.

We lost by 165 runs. I was unhappy to put it mildly. Got out for 40 in the second knock and a pair of 20's in the next test.

One dayers are still my weak point. I managed to eek out 114 in one a few match ago but usually get out for 20 - 45 runs.

tried a "demo" back when it came out and was impressed but thought I would wait until the bugs were ironed out

Such a good game, I only got it when the footy season started. Can't wait to get back into it in summer.

Restarted my career instead playing for the Vic's and started at 21 rate he than 16 seems to make the game a bit easier, have now made back to back hundreds in the shield. Still having a bit of trouble against spinners but I adopted the strategy of getting myself in and than using my feet tot take them on. This has overtaken ea cricket 2007 as my favourite cricket game of all time.

i just had a couple of hours session in career mode, played around 4 shield matches, 3 or 4 domestic one dayers and a Big Bash match.

I was caught behind in every single innings. Finally got the shits with it and used a little left trigger action in a one dayer against Taswegia. Ended up blazing 154 off about 70 balls, with MOTM honours.

sick of getting caught behind though.

Actually I just realised there would be no referrals if it was in India. Was the game in Victoria then?

Not a perfect game by any means, but a tonne of fun.

My career player is a 16-year old leg-spinning all-rounder batting at 4.

I'm enjoying the bowling a lot.

I've fired this back up also recently. Started a 16 y.o. West Indian No. 1 Batsman. Got 157 in my second shield game but have been hitting 20's or 30's recently. Also started my career in England. It's different for sure!

Is this game worth a purchase? Even preowned it still seems quite steep for something that didn't get stella reviews.

The mechanics and game play are good fun. You work hard to be a good bowler/batsman. Can't just turn it on and be a world beater. Graphics are okay when you get past the whole lack of licensing and bad faces its worth it.

It's not perfect, but imo, it's the best cricket game I've ever played.

LBW's are hard to get when bowling, but it's great fun.

Just finished a 50 over match against NZ. Belted three fours off my first three balls, couldn't get another away, edged to gully. Disappointed.

Then I figured I would get back at them by bowling well, nope, got belted around the park for the first 5 overs, couldn't catch a break. Didn't see the white ball until the 38th over with NZ back on top and cruising to victory.

Brought back into the attack and took three quick wickets and game changed. Ended up winning by 12.

Point is, it's not easy! It's challenging and even if you kill it one game, you can suck the next. Best part is you can build pressure and turn a game in one delivery.

Exactly right!

I play for NSW, as a 16-year old leg spinner all-rounder batting at 4.

Today, I was playing a 4 day match against Victoria, and in the Victorians' first innings, I had several lbw appeals turned down, several knicks go the slips (where nobody was fielding) and a few cracking deliveries that just bounced over the stumps. I finished with figures of 0/66 off 22 overs, and Victoria made 434.

I go into bat when we are 2/33. I blast 202, and get bowled by Hastings, advancing down the crease, trying to blast him out of the ground. We are all out for 387.

Victoria's second innings - all out for 145, and I took 5/26 off 13 overs, including two wickets in one over (both lbw's).

I have found that bowling to a plan and varying line, length and speed gets great results.

Some plum lbw appeals get ignored, but this is a brilliant game.

Only issue I have - T20 games. I'm a number 4, and every time I come in, we are 2/100 chasing 160 in the 18th over, because my idiot openers score 50 off 100, and use up all the balls!

You can get out on blatantly dodgy rulings. But I find I get caught behind but the fielding side doesn't appeal and so I'm not given out manages to happen probably more times.

I've never had that to be honest.

Don't mind he umpires missing a call here and there, adds to the drama!

I've had that happen alot, so I started watching a replay whenever it occurs, and each time the ball bounces just before the the keeper.
