Your player does improve but

My guy started @ 18 and is now 24

Bat 6, Bowl Leg Breaks

I play for NSW One day and shield, Australia in tests, ODI and Twenty/20

Sydney Thunder, Surrey County and Rajasthan royals.

I am also Captain of every team I play for now (Obviously not a First, they just tell you you have been made captain).

I am still yet to master cutting and pulling spinners.

I love get Maxwell out, it is too easy but. I enjoy telling Kholi where the pavilion is. Two players I find hard to get out
A Finch and K Williamson.

Yes 100s of hours playing this, usually whilst watching real cricket.

^Yep, been playing while watching Eng V SAfrica.

Frustrating as f**k atmt though, averaged my first year at 60 in first class, back to 35 atm though at 18. I've started to rack up some 50s, 60-s and an 80 odd but I really have to work and concentrate for it. Usually by leaving everything outside off and picking off the bad balls on leg stump.

Did make me have new respect for batsmen.

As bowler I can bowl the bad ball, might get hit for 6, but have the next ball to clean bowl them.

As a batter make and mistake and see you next innings.

My test bowling Economy rate is 1.59, average 22.

Just had a session while the kids were watching movies in the rain... Got 111 then run out because I thought it went for 4 and looked away. Made 87 in the next test, now I'm on the T20's

Started again, this time as an opener.
I got too frustrated playing and needing a higher chase and my openers taking their time, especially in a limited overs match. For e.g chasing anything around 300 or higher, one guy hit 50 off something like 120, maybe more.

Much prefer to open the batting, I feel like I can control the run rate better. Not doing overly well currently. In 4-dayers I've only hit 1 100, and about 6 50s. Averaging around 32 with the bat. 50 overs and T20 closer to slightly above 20.

Finding if I can get past about 12 or 13, generally I'll be okay. Had a few ducks and single figure innings which is really messing my average up. No where near international selection and rightfully so.

Opening is definitely the way to go. I find getting from 20 to 40 and from 50 to 80 are piss easy.

Gets easier again after scoring a century

My guy bats at 4 and guaranteed every time we will be 2/50 or something when i come in. Openers never get centuries. I sim to my player which i guess is the problem

Try batting 6....

Especially when playing for NSW in shield, I am forever coming in @ 4 for 50 or alike.

Shared many a 100 partnership with K Patterson.

In 20/20 I do not bat much, just do not get a chance.

The first time I played an international with the timing so much harder to bowl, bowled quite a few wides til I got used to it.

In my 3rd season as an 18 year old I averaged 52.something bumping my career FC average to above 40.

Getting more confident now, especially when putting bad balls away. Still suck at T20 and even worse at one dayers.

I wish you could elect to only play certain modes of the game. I'd rather concentrate on FC games with the odd T20 comp thrown in. I find myself simming the one dayers.

I really struggle to bowl to left-handed batters.

I'm not really sure why, either - as a leg-spinner, I should take in the wickets.

That's not a bad idea!

Try not to mix your deliveries up too much. Consistently put it in the same spot, same speed for an over or so. When they start trying to play to that rhythm then throw in a wrongin' or a straight ball with a bit more speed. I find they get caught out this way.

Having said that bowling pace is more about being consistent. Same spot, same speed then throw in a random delivery.

A crazy thing for me is that I've not scored a century in any form!!!!

Sorry if you posted this earlier in the thread, but how old and where do you bat?

I've found since my first career save, Once I got to 22+ in the Aussie team, I was hitting 40 ball centuries quite easily.

Now that I've upped the difficulty and started younger than I did before, I really have to work to get the milestones up. 50 and 100 really do feel like massive achievements.

Haven't hit 10 yet, my highest score is 148.

I just leave everything and put away the bad balls on my stumps or going down leg.

I've built up my leg break stat, bowling a lot to the righties - maybe I should keep bowling them to lefties, and then change it up every once in a while.

I remember complaining to you about this game saying that it annoys me that in the my player mode, I get sick of playing county cricket and shield cricket and stuff and just want to play for Australia now that I've made it and you told me that you can just simulate through the matches that I don't want to play. I still can't find where to do it!

I think its in the actual in-game menu, you can simuluate to your player or simulate entire innings.
