Just wish they could have got the licenses that Ashes 13 had.

Official logos and gear really get missed on games like this.

You don't need official uniforms IMO the Bradman Academy more than makes up for it. This is like the old PES games that had better game play and awesome customisation.

Mucking around with the Academy last night and I can't believe these are the dudes that made RLL2.

Brian Lara cricket on the PS1 was simply awesome.

I'll never forget falling to 190 odd for 8 as the Windies before eventually declaring at over 1000 for 8, with Courtney Walsh unbeaten on 401*!

Classic game.

Shane Warne Cricket is what I had same game I think still play it now on my pc occasionally on the ps1 emulator, me and the old man sit down and have a game . Also Jonah Lomu Rugby was the shit.

Both made by Codemasters,, Do they still make game

So long as the gameplay is good i'll be happy.

If the names are accurate it'll be even better

As soon as I loaded up the game I was prompted (actually, recommended) that I download the update player names from the community downloads. Just clicked OKAY and it automatically downloaded for me. There's a shit load of teams, players and even umpires available to download, all time time and specific era teams are what I like.

This game is really, really fun.

How hard are the batting and bowling controls to pick up? Easy enough for a casual gamer (4-5hrs a week)?

Batting isn't too hard once you get your timing down. For PS3 left stick is foot movement and right is shot selection. I've barely tried bowling, pain in the ass in the few overs I've had so far.

Career mode has been a complete failure for me as well haha. Get to about 10-15 runs and either get run out via a direct hit from the boundary or I stuff my footwork up and get bowled. Still yet to crack anything over 35 as well. Having a lot of fun with it so far tho.

Are you able to just push it around for singles? From the gameplay ive seen it seems like you can only just smash it towards the boundary or loft the shot.

Yeah you can knock it around for singles. It's usually how I get my first 10 runs. There's a shot modifier button that allows to smash over the top or smash it along the ground.

You'll need to play a bit of the tutorial first. Batting is a but harder for me. Bowling is fun and easier to pick up.

Looks dodgy as fk

You're not forced to smash it around smh

Bowling is my strength. Batting i'm still struggling with the timing. Usually trying to swing as the bowler releases the ball. But then i'm not selecting the right shots and its going straight through or getting caught out. I'll need some more practice

The timing in career mode is a bastard. I do the same as you Nath, try to play the shot as soon as the bowler has released it. Means I've pre determined whether I'm playing off the front or back foot. Getting a little better as I'm averaging 25 now rather than around 11-12.

I've spent plenty of time in the nets which seems to be helping. Spinners are easy to play as you get a bit more time to chose your shot selection. Still get out the most ridiculous ways tho, run outs from the boundary when it should be a comfortable single is frustrating as f**k!
