Dragons are the most boring team I have ever seen play

shouldn't you be checking how your stocks went this week while sipping your latte?

Jesus that ones gotta sting Tonearm....

He called you rich and claimed you drink coffee. Can't see how you can come back from that one :sarcasm:

As the great Al Davis once said: "Just win, baby!!"

Saints win games, if you want entertainment go to the f**king circus...

The Hayne plane should be able to sneak them into 9th-10th
Didn't help this year. Off field issues, no half or hooker and major players like Mateo who ended up being the main man by Round 26 gone.

Parra will be in for a "rebuilding year" imo.

You know, playing boring footy and winning is alot more enjoyable than playing exciting footy and losing.
It's great that the dragons know how to get a win and i'm sure the team and the fans are enjoying the moment more than the tigers who apparently play the exciting footy.
Get the f**k over yourselves.

The funniest thing about all this is that if we saw tonight's game in a State of Origin match, people would be raving about how brilliant the defence was from both sides and how tough the teams were.

But apparently at club level you need to make 20+ offloads per game, score 6+ tries, chip'n'chase from inside your own 30, and run from sideline to sideline every second tackle .... if you don't do this, apparently you are a cancer on the game for 'neutral fans'.

For all the Tigers' "attacking brilliance" and the Dragons' "borefest attack", we still made more linebreaks than the Tigers, and even scored a long range try in the second half.

Thought the Tigers played just about their best game of the season tonight, given they only had 47% possession and 38% territory .. they were so brave, luckily we managed to pull it out of the fire with a brilliantly controlled final 15 minutes.

Maybe that's the reason fans of other teams get upset ... they realise that their team would not have the composure or discipline to continually kick to the corners and tackle their way to a victory when the scores are locked up with 15 minutes to go.

I quite like the way the Dragons play. Nothing wrong with good ole fashion gritty Rugby League. The way they played against Manly was negative which is completely different to gritty imo but tonight they weren't negative.

I still think Soward is an accident waiting to happen. When pressured he takes terrible options with his kicking game. That said in the Grand Final he is sure to have a blinder cause I just posted that.

Your comments refer to an ideal world where league fans aren't dickheads in general.
Unfortunately, they are dickheads, more-so on the internet community.

For the record, it was a great game, I was expecting a flogging from one side, but it was pretty even throughout the 80 minutes, great way to end a qualifying final.

Have to say, that was an amazing display of confidence.

As a Canberra fan, I can see a lot of truth in this comment.

I thought last nights clash was easily the 2nd best game all season behind Tigers-Roosters 1st Week of Finals.

Say what you want about the Dragons style of play but last night's contrasting match-up made for a riveting, edge-of-your seat clash that epitomised what Preliminary Final football is all about.

Well it wasn't that long ago we would lose these games with Gould calling us "Pretty Dragons" all the time. Surely people remember those times. He did it quite often. Our greatest criticism was that we didn't know how to grind out a win. Can't please everybody, that is true in all walks of life, but it is painfully clear that some people can never be pleased and moreover their inability to look at things rationally betrays their intent. That they simply don't WANT to be pleased.

Anyone who thought last night's game was boring knows nothing about rugby league. Tough defence, excellent attack and tension for 80 minutes. Quality from both teams.

Saints don't have a Marshall, Farrah, Carney, Hayne type player in their squad

from 1-17 at the start of this season there wasn't (and some would argue still isn't) a superstar in that squad.

Bennett has them playing a style that suits the talent he has, it's testimony to his skill that he has gotten this squad to perform as a unit and as well as they have.

Yet many pillocks on here take every opportunity to slam them for not having the so called moments of genius and brilliance

you play with what you've got and shouldn't be lambasted for doing so.

couldn't agree more mate. But ofcourse the problem is if they dont win the GF, they will be called chokers, and if they do win the GF, they will be called boring.
