Statistics only tell you what you want to hear.
Aitken played less games so the odds are in favour of Lafai missing more. I reckon more of Aitkens miss tackles led to tries more so than Lafai
The stats are based on tackles made vs tackles missed to give a tackle efficiency%.

Titans and Eels are devo ! You have made the right decision if you recruit Jayne. He really improved both those clubs. The evidence is there for all to see or NOT as the case may be

The weight of expectations weighs heavily upon some players. Clubs will no longer view Hayne as their messiah, and rightly so. This could help him. Hayne should see himself now as be a solid all round player, not the super star he once was. If he can except his fall from grace humbly and take up a place in the right team I’m sure he still has the talent and confidence to be a very solid all round first grader. He is capable of leadership and having a positive effect on less experienced players and at the right price I’d take the gamble.

IF Hayne is signed, this will create a domino effect with the players.

I think Mann would be released almost immediately, this would create a position on the bench (IMO), hopefully to be filled by Robson.

Next would be Field, unfortunately. There is just no position for him in the Dragons 1st grade side. Fullback options are few and far between with only Tyrone Phillips the only recognized fullback option who is playing ISP. At least he has some international experience playing for Fiji. Would come cheap too. Otherwise, promoting one of the DS players (but none can play fullback)

Whether Hayne would play wing centre or fullback, it still necessitates one of the current players shifting back to ISP or asking for a release. And don't forget we must have Lomax in the team, so possibly 2 players are going to be very disappointed.

Round 1 team list will be interesting if the above does take place.

If he does sign, it has to be as a centre. If we sign Hayne as a fullback for a year or two, we will lose Dufty, likely Mann and maybe even Field and be left embarrassingly short in the fullback position, especially when Hayne's contract is up. We will need to hit the market again for another fullback and will have no-one from within the club to immediately take over.
If Dufty stays on at fullback, we have Hayne as a back-up to shift there in case of injury and Lafai/Aitken to come back into the side as left centre.

1. Dufty
2. Pearson
3. Hayne
4. Lomax
5. Ravalawa/Pereira/new signing

That's what makes the most sense to me.

MOST OF THE KEYBOARD BRIGADE KNOW WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN. but telling supercoach well thats a different ball game .

At 600k Hayne would have to be part of the spine. It's time for Aitken and Lafai to earn their spot and Mann probably does not want a release.

I say our back 5 should be:
1. Hayne
2. Pearson
3. Lomax
4. Mann
5. Pereira or a new winger

If we sign Hayne, this would be our best option. The likes of Aitken, Lafai and Dufty will have a choice, go back to ISP and earn a spot in first grade, or find another club and seek a release from the Dragons.
