I respectfully disagree.

I've seen enough of his pressers to come to the conclusion he is 100% dickhead.
Look I don't want Mary to be our coach, but his pressers are the same regurgitated stuf that 90% of coach pressers are, with the exception of a few they are all like that

I truly don't think Paul McGregor is an actual dickhead. Anecdotal things I've heard from people I know who met him have told me he's an extremely approachable and nice bloke. Plus one thing about Mary I have always liked is his passionate public defence of Ben Hunt, when Ben was privately suffering a miscarriage and being targeted by media and fans, Mary came out and repeatedly had his back.

Now just because he's a top bloke doesn't mean he should be coach though. I would prefer his contract is not extended.

Amen to that!

Has anyone seen the lastest post from thedragonsbus on Instagram?
I would say based on that Jarrod Hayne is signing with us for 2019. #haynesysonthebus
Welcome Jarrod, I hope you take Lafai's position or Pereria's.
Nope Crush, If we indeed get Hayne he will be our FB. Let's see. I'm not ticking boxes yet though.

I personally would welcome Hayne to the Dragons.. But..

He'd wanna back himself to step right up week after week after f*cking week.. If he was in the right headspace to do that, sign him up in a heartbeat. The fella has talent to burn even in the twilight of his sporting career.

For the player who's been under the most public scrutiny for the last few seasons in the NRL to join the club that has the largest scrutiny from their fan base by light years... It will go one of two ways very quickly if he turns out for the Red V.

I like Hayne but I'm actually concerned his mindset isnt where it should be. For himself mainly. With the allegations from the time at the 49ers, the failure of selection with Fiji for the Olympics Rugby 7's, the "rebirth" on the Gold Coast.. If anything a return to his real home at Parramatta should have settled him.

If he's in any way not got his head in the right place, I really think joining the Dragons is the last thing he needs for his own wellbeing.

regardless of if we sign Hayne or anybody else Aitken and Lafai will be our centres as long as Mary is the coach .

Do you think this is a good idea GC Dragon? I've seen a few on here that have said the same thing but I can't fathom a good reason why we would do such a thing. I feel sure if both contracts were up at the end of last season, they would not be extended.

Until his Civil Law case is over in the US, I wouldn't be touching the Hayne Plane. I'm sure the mental anguish will play severely on his mental state of mind during 2019. He may be an xfactor player, but with too much hanging over his head & being somewhat physically injury prone.....it's a big No from me!!

I also don't really buy that they are certain starters for 2019, particularly Aitken. Lomax currently seems in a similar position to Dufty coming off the back of 2017, where he got the position through injury, but Mary did not drop him once Dugan gained fitness again.

Now there are differences in that Dugan was leaving and Aitken never fully recovered before that Souths game, but I don't think Mary would have started Aitken anyway. He may come from the bench.

Packer was under extreme legal pressure when we first approached him and ended up OK. Hayne has hired a lawyer known for his ability to settle prior to court action. I imagine Hayne is just waiting for a contract before he commits to settle this matter.

Hayne usually starts the season in either average or poor form. As the season goes on he seems to pay more attention/gets his head in the game and is at his best in the last eight rounds.

Sounds like he is exactly what this team needs based on previous seasons.

Hayne is not the target.
I know your right - Hayne was smokescreen for Corey Norman i believe who can play 5/8 and FB as can Widdop which i think where Dragons are heading...but Normans $800K is a big load to carry so need Eels to cop at least $300K of that...plus dont discount Johnston from Souths.. this is my IMO only

Yeah Possm, but Packer played a year with the Cutters as a transition after serving his sentence. His worst was behind him.....for Hayne it's all in front of him!

Hayne played for the Titans and Parra after the incident - about ISP level. He will not do dtime because there will not be a court case; the matter will be settled before hand.
