According to this story the matter was reported to NRL Integrity Unit who referred it to the Police. Not saying it didn’t happen but it is not the usual sequence of events with serious criminal matters.

Well, he is innocent unless proven otherwise so without getting too far ahead of ourselves, its either a complete setup or a serious crime.

People can also be falsely incarcerated and or be guilty but get off on a technicality....... time will tell.

I'm surprised the club haven't come out to express their current standing on the situation.

They have they said they are not interested.
Even if he is cleared of all accusation here and in the USA it will be a long time before it is all settled.
We do not need this distraction.

I hope this wanker Hayne thread can be consigned to the bowels of LU forum along with Rangi Chase, Walmsley, Jack Bird etc.etc & never ever be revisited again.
Yes CD, agree, never known a footballer to be in repeated claims of sexual misconduct, Carney gets banned for being a bubbler while Hayne stays around ......there are young future stars who are respectful young men we should be chasing, not this walking disaster

We shouldn't chase Hayne while allegations are unresolved (hasn't been found guilty so NRL wouldn't likely blacklist him), but Carney's incident was merely the last straw in a long line of several indescretions, much more to it than pissing in a mouth.

If Hayne is not charged with regards to the latest accusation and if he quickly settles the USA civil action, there will be no reason not to sign him. People should be considered innocent until found guilty.

With regards to the USA accusatons, no charges were brought against Hayne by police. With regards to the current accusation, so far no charges have been brought by police.

Let's just wait and see what happens with the latest accusation.
possm, let’s save our $$$$ for a young gun, some young man who will bring respect, loyalty, hard work and effort to our club.
Really, Hayne is Mr yesterday.
We don’t need Hayne.
