Any fool would know that Aitken is not a right centre's boot lace. If you want to lose Lomax, just put him on the right wing outside Aitken who will give him no ball and make him look a fool in defence in the dame way Nightingale and Macdonald did in recent times.

Just give one good reason why Aitken should be selected right centre ahead of Lomax.
I have to stop you there Poss..not a right centre's bootlace. That is BS. He has scored some good tries and some runaway tries
I want Lomax in front of him cause Lomax looks a natural and long term Gasnier like player (bit early to call that but has got game) but Aitken as an attacking centre is a powerful runner and body and can bust a tackle where a few ohers cant.
If he worked on passing he is one of the better attacking centres in the game. Defensive big problem..but can be teached and coached out of him. Trusting your man either side helps and working in pre-season should fix that. Maybe his future is as a lock / backrower like a Joel Thompson who made the transition from centre. Injuries may halt his progressio with dodgy hammy's.

Probably a bit harsh. his Defence needs some work but he was being mentioned for State of Origin and he made some great runs and scored freaky tries for us early in the year. I think he hit his peak with the intercept play vs Canberra

That said Lomax is a better player and should be selected first. If we could transfer that kids footy smarts to aitken they would be my starting centres.

Aitken's defence has needed work for three years and there has been little improvement. Yes he was mentioned regarding State of Origin but from that point on he went dramatically downhill. In many ways he was talked up for stepping an injured Inglis in one game. Mary will start him at centre though and Lomax will be quite rightly frustrated. Wing for Lomax? Maybe but he will need to go looking for the ball. Aitken frustrates me because he showed so much promise. I think he has suffered from the school boy footballer syndrome. He hit first grade running and he showed strong front on defence and he ran hard and straight, but he has not developed. Sides know he won't or lacks the ability to pass and he lacks confidence in defence, often rushes up or in and, while he can tackle, he makes horrible reads. I would like to find excuses for him....Mary coach, injuries etc, but he creates more tries for the opposition than he does for us.

Its Ok and I was with you with 2018 as I knew we had weaknesses and we came out of the blocks hard..but we have lost an ageing Flo and McDonald who flows in an out and i dont rate. I still think we will sign a decent back of McDonald level..so I dont see us weaker and maybe Jonus Perason can be on par with McDonald anyway who knows. So I reserve my judgement about beaing weaker till March / April. I will give McDonald one thing..his acrobatics to score a try is hard to replace but his positioning in defence and attack at times was terrible.
In season 2018 our centres were a major problem. With Mann apparently on his way to the Knights, the best we can hope for is Lomax and Lafai and no recognisable backup for Dufty.

Yes however, he needed to work on his passing and defence before being extended long term. I say ISP for Aitken and if he asks for a release, by all means let him go.

I just have this feeling we will move some of the DS players to the full time squad, now that Hayne and possibly Mann out of the picture.

Marsters as the backup for fullback with Field as the other option.
Lovodua as the back-up utility with Robson moving to the 1st grade bench.
This would also free up 2 spaces on our DS which we need that availability.

If Hayne is not charged, I think the Dragons will still sign him at 500k. No announcements as yet.

I think our sponsors would have a major issue even if he isnt charged. Just the stigma alone would be enough to create doubts as to his persona being associated with them.

What a load of shit. Sexual assault claims are actually one of the hardest crimes to prosecute due to their nature, which is why victims often do not come forward

Far, FAR more guilty people escape conviction/charge than the other way around.

Hayne has been arrested and charged by the police. Ben Fordham on 2GB.

Packer was charged, found guilty, did time and no complaint from sponsors. Hayne still has not been charged.

His career is over, he is in for a rough ride plus huge legal bill. I’m not trivialising this but there are no winners in this.

Hayne is just too erratic, unreliable, unpredictable with too much surrounding controversy.
So So glad he is not coming to Dragons. Hope he finds something good for himself. We're
not a "grey havens!"
Apparently he's a prominent member of that Hillsong Church!
Doesn't appear to be working very well.
I say.
