cant help but think a bad loss this week in can'tberra followed by another one and it'll be all over bar the shouting for price!St George Illawarra's Steve Price might be favourite to be the first NRL coach sacked this season but he has strong support within the club and there has even been talk of re-signing him. Not only do players insist Price has their backing, but Sin Bin also understands Dragons officials recently discussed extending his contract beyond this season after they missed out on Melbourne's Craig Bellamy. One school of thought at the joint venture is that Price deserves a chance with some fresh blood and the club plans a recruitment drive for 2014 as it has up to 23 players off contract this season, including Jamie Soward, Matt Cooper, Nathan Fien, Ben Creagh, Mitch Rein and Matt Prior. Cronulla coach Shane Flanagan has been linked with the Dragons after being stood down by the Sharks but Sin Bin has been told the club has had no contact with him.
Josh still fancied
Rumours sacked Raiders star Josh Dugan had been spotted at a McDonald's in Wollongong wearing a suit on Tuesday appear unfounded but the Dragons remain keen to sign him. A report detailing his long list of misdemeanours in Canberra was received by the NRL on Thursday and the 2011 NSW Origin fullback is expected to have to serve some time on the sideline before a new contract is registered. Sin Bin believes Dugan will be hit with a ban similar to the four-match suspension the NRL imposed on Knights centre B.J. Leilua after he was sacked by Sydney Roosters.

Mate, I have been critical of price, but if makes the needed changes soon and we turn around and make a fist of things he should stay on...
We are all a little frustrated but as I have been reminded we have only played 2 games, there is time to make it work, lets hope he does!
Latest mail on sky sports big Sunday breakfast show is linking Tim Sheens to the Dragons coaching role. Dean Ritchie also stated that Tony Smith was in consideration but would miss out to Sheens. Also stated that Price was unlucky but seems to have lost support at board level. Interesting time ahead.

We should have moved on sheens immediately. He's exactly what we need. Anyone who thinks differently either has something personal against sheens or doesn't fully comprehend how much shit we are actually in.

I think even the most delusional among us now realise we are in it, the only variance of opinion, being the depth.
Tough ask though, not even the Master Coach at our Prime 2009-2010 could beat them, so odds were always against them, if they'd played as in 1st half may have been different game, but strangely when the pressure is on, we pull out these adl-lib plays, scored more points than last 2 games against the hoodoo team,, Raiders will get smashed next week, mark my words!Well surely now Price has sealed his fate.
Canberra were woeful and we a tad worse.

Can I just ask, what is the role that Gus plays at Penrith? I.E. Coaching director...would it be worth Tim Sheens coming to Saints with a similar title?
