Daley could work.. atleast hes intelligent and passionate.

After origin means itll be several months before he comes onboard... if we were going to do that I would make the announcement soon, get the current players on-notice, and it will give us some semblence of recruiting other players over the next few months.

I thought these coaches were meant to be fulltime Origin coaches though, certainly Mal is always commenting on that.

I think we should get in touch with one of the following:Daniel Anderson,Jim Dymock,Rick Stone,Kevin Walters,Jason Taylor or the guy who took over Parra when Kearney got the spear, can't think of his name,Brad someone I think.

Bra:D Arthur is the guy you're thinking of.

As others have said, Meninga isn't a club coach & he realises that - I think Daley is the same.
A huge decision to be made by the club , but we need a good coach, not a good bloke.

We can't go down the rookie assistant coach route again. It hasn't worked and if they decide to appoint Walters or Dymock it's back to square one. If we were to go down the 'rookie coach' they need at least 1 year in the UK Super League (i.e. Souths and Roosters current coaches).

As far as I'm concerned the only viable option is Sheens. He's the current Australian coach, has won premierships and is very experienced. Daniel Anderson would be my first option but there's no way he will walk away from his new role...BUT if he sticks to this stupid interpretation of the obstrcution rule he might become available very soon.

Graeme Muuray is the one.....was doing well with Illawarra before Superleague f*cked him/them up. And still coaching in Qld Cup today, I believe.

Brian Smith will probably guarantee no spoon for the season. I would get him just to get them out of the mess they are in and see from there how he goes till the end of the year.

1. Patience please: Steve Price shows why he’s the real deal
After losing to the Broncos earlier this season, I wrote of the Dragons performance: ''The Dragons were fit, strong and quick. They looked organised and it was obvious they had a plan. Their enthusiasm was great. This team was well prepared. What more does a coach have to do? While they did what they did really well, when it wasn't working for them, they continued to do the same things over and over again, each time expecting a different result.'' The Dragons have now won their past two matches, thanks to variations in their attacking structure introduced by coach Steve Price. I have said all along this bloke can coach. He just needs time in the job and for those around him to be supportive and patient.
