I really don't care anymore it's a win win situation. If he comes we have one of the best in the business. If he doesn't we have a coach in his second year hungry for success and we can plan for the future with our recruitment where Price has done well this year with the 4 new players.

Yes St Helen's were at full strength and were simply steam rolled by Huddesfield. The report I read said that Saints were simply bereft of ideas. Sounds familiar?
Yeah, reminds me of the Newcastle performance in round 1 last year.

It's easy to lay the boot into Brownie here, but his performance needs to be judged over the course of an entire season.

If every coach was judged on one result, there'd be none left.
A Bellamy-coached Storm team were beaten 40-0 by Manly in a grand final.

Didn't Bennett announce his decision to leave before our WCC?

Apparently he told the players before the Sharks game in round 2 that he wouldn't be at the Dragons. It was weeks later that it was public that it wouldn't be at the Broncos or Dragons and some time after that before he announce he was going to the Knights.

Minh, I agree totally with what you have said, except I don't care if Bellamy doesn't come here. To be honest, I don't want him here at all. He is a grub.

I happen to be a Nathan Brown fan and would never lay the boot (more like slipper these days LOL) into him. Price of course is an entirely different matter.

I expect St Helens to be very strong this year. The thrashing by Huddesfield was probably just the tonic they needed.

What's behind you're reasoning behind that, Price has only failed once?

Yeh the only good that can come of it is success and a good chance to win the premiership again. If Price somehow pulled it off it'll be even more sweet, I mean probably not cos it doesn't get any better than winning the big one on any given day, I want that 2010 feeling again, it was the best.

Country Dragon, I and others have written reams on Price's faux pars in 2012. So let us not revisit what was a very poor year for us. it has been discussed ad-infinitium both here and elsewhere. Rather let us start the new season afresh. Most are of the view that it is going to be a very rocky road for us, and there are good reasons for having that view. But with St George's intercession perhaps we might pull off the odd miracle or two.

So I am saving my anti Price rhetoric for this season, until I have clear evidence as to it's appropriateness. Hopefully as many on here would wish, my scribing of such actualities will be rare. But of course I could be wrong!!

I feel it's like selling our soul to the devil.
You are right about 2010 though, it was awesome. I'll never forget it. Got the ink to remind me.

What's that you say of saving you're anti-Price rhetoric, could have fooled me. As well as most people on here. Please open you're eyes, he's not perfect. But apart from you who is?

I haven't followed the dragons as long as you have and a lot of others on here but 28 years and 5 grand final losses really hurt pretty bad, which made 2010 very special.

Naturally I love the 2010 Grand Final, what fan wouldn't.

But on par with that was Bennett's tenure at the club (up to mid-2011).

Each week you knew which team was going to turn up.

Consistency.

The boys were machines. Two Minor Premierships and on track for three in the salary cap era.

Last year we didn't string three wins together.

You can't judge Price on his rookie year though.

Fire up fellas, less than a month to go!
