Well picture this KiamaSaint. Bellamy is about to sign on the dotted line and Doust says to him, "of course you can assure our club and our sponsors that you are squakly clean in light of yesterdays momentous proceedings". Bellamy replies ...........................?????

The slightest taint of anything improper will have sponsors jumping ship very quickly. And who knows what this investigation will dig up. Doust would potentially be in a various invidious position,

Oh, I see.

Well, we're getting close to one rumour being right or wrong;

Bellamy making his announcement before the Storm leaves for England or not.

Anyone want to change their opinion?

I just rang Glen Munsie and the odds are 60/40 against, the announcement that we are waiting for being announced. However the odds are 60/40 on, that an announcement about an announcement will be made. Not necessarily the one we are seeking of course. And last but not least, the odds are 60/40 against, any announcement whatsoever being made.

I put put this weeks tea money on the latter. Wonderful thing online gambling!!

Well I have bet two guys who drink at the Hurstville Ritz 20 schooners each that Mr B will be the Dragons in 2014, $4.20*40 = $168.
The bets will be paid on off during a few sessions, hope they are the ones reaching into their pockets !!

Ah Como very cunning. You don't have to pay out till 2014 and by then their alcohol pickled brains will probably have long forgotten all about it.

Craig Bellamy staying silent on coaching plans for 2013 and beyond

MELBOURNE Storm will head to the UK on Monday without a commitment from coach Craig Bellamy that he'll coach the club beyond this season.

Bellamy is out of contract at the end of this year and has been heavily courted by St George Illawarra. The master coach had given every indication he would announce his future before leaving for the World Club Challenge but that's now unlikely. Storm officials remain hopeful he'll stay given recent talks but his management also remains in constant contact with the Dragons.

Players and other staff are none the wiser about Bellamy's plans, with some declaring he has been playing his cards closer to his chest than ever before. The uncertainty around the coach isn't the only issue with the UK trip after a host of injuries in Friday night's 40-8 trial match loss to Canberra in Geelong forced some late reshuffling to the squad.

The 21-man group was to be named yesterday but couldn't be finalised as Bellamy had to get to Brisbane for last night's All-Stars game. Back-row lynchpin Kevin Proctor was ruled out with a medial ligament strain, winger Matt Duffie with a hamstring injury and utility Maurice Blair fractured his cheekbone.

The trio were certainties to make the trip, opening the door for some fringe squad members to come into contention for the clash with UK Super League champion Leeds on February 23.

Proctor's injury was the worst, with scans revealing a grade-three ligament tear that could sideline him for as much as eight weeks, including the start of the NRL season.
Duffie's setback came after he corked his quad the previous week in a trial against Easts Tigers. That was his first game since last July, when he badly injured his shoulder and required season-ending surgery.

Storm star Billy Slater played about 25 minutes in the clash with the Raiders, his first hit-out for 2013. He said things were "progressing well" as he overcomes ankle and shoulder issues.

So it seems, no announcement before Bellamy travels to England with the Storm. In my opinion it's a good sign. In my opinion it's 80/20 in favour of him coming to the the Dragons.

the above article makes it a 67/33 chance he'll be coming to either the dragons or the storm.

I agree, the last thing you'd want to announce before the WCC is that you're going to coach elsewhere. One of the things you'd want to announce was that you're staying.

It seems that a WCC trip without an announcement could point to a new coach.

Face it...still 50/50.
If he had signed or given any indication to Limited News he was remaining, they would be singing it from the tree tops in order to secure a buyer for the cheats.
Still no sign of Casey Donovan, is there ?

C'mon, this article reveals nothing. It's literally the same article that's been written for last 2 months.
Bellamy stays quiet... Bellamy delays decision.... Storm still hopeful.... Players unsure.

FFS. Who cares anymore. Will be the greatest anti climax ever.

This has gone on for months.....the longer it goes unannounced then I believe the Dragons are firm favourites. I reckon the only people that know at this stage are Mrs Bellamy along with Craig and Peter Doust. Dragons are in no hurry to announce his possible signing, I am sure it is strictly confidential and Doust would tell Bellamy to make the announcement on your terms when you are ready. The longer this remains so quiet from the dragons management tells me they are right in this and will afford Bellamy much time and patience. 2014 is still along way off and time is on our side more so than the storm, whom are after a sale.

What is 100% certain is that he didn't meet his commitment to announce a decision before leaving for the UK.

Nice way to string every one along, tool.

Bellamy gave an assurance that he want his coaching future all wrapped up before the WCC. If he is coming to us then why the delay? Ok maybe the WCC potential effect on his team. Nah, I am leaning more towards it being negotiations with the new owners, (who is it anyway) of the Storm.

Surely as we have been negotiating with him since last november, we would have nothing left to put on the table. The Storm's new owners, well that is a whole new round of discussions, and that I think is the sticking point, with us be used as the leverage.
