They broke a rule but who was put in danger ? No-one, not a single person was put in any danger. $305,000.00 in fines and 20 weeks worth of suspensions. Why ? Because " we " demand it, justice !!! It's Bullsh*t. I can't believe what the NRL has become and Australia for that matter. We used to have a sense of balance and a sense of humour. Not any more.

Are you serious? Every other player at the club, every official, anyone involved at the club were put in danger. And then everyone at every other club, and the entire comp. Or are you of the belief that there wasn't a single person outside the bubble at this party? If there was just 1, that's put everyone and everything at risk. It's why the Dogs players and Dugan had to self isolate for 14 days. It's why anybody who has been in the Wollongong area that may live outside the lockdown areas had to self isolate for 14 days.

Take off your red and white glasses and stop being naive. The Dragons risked the entire comp. It's lucky they have the bye this week otherwise I think other actions may have been taken.

I had the opinion last year that Vaughan‘s COVID breach cafe visit was a slight against McGregor & I didn’t think much of it, our season was a right off anyway. But this debacle is on a whole new level.

We’ve managed to win 3 from our last 4 including 2 hard fought come from behind victories. Vaughan’s form has been really good 262m & a try assist against the Warriors. So I just don’t get it? Is the guy just a idiot? Why sabotage the team when he’s played so well to get us the recent wins.

I hope at Tuesday’s board meeting Vaughan is called in to explain himself. Does he want to play for the Red V? Does he care that he’s turned us into a laughing stock? Does he care he’s made a top 8 finish so much harder now?

If he’s unable to satisfactorily answer these questions I think we might have to part ways with Vaughan. Cut the cancer out.

This whole situation is just beyond me, I don’t get why the players of a genuine top 8 team would sabotage their own season.

Yeah. I saw that. Could you imagine the Storm, Rabbitohs, roosters, panthers, or the eels players doing that to their own coach? This just goes to show why we have been useless for 10 years. These merkins don’t even have respect for their own coach let alone everyone else who is in lockdown.

Agree....although this has been brewing for a while...feel for Griffin....on a positive note, gives the club the opportunity to make a statement about expected standards etc....

Re other clubs, ....they just know how to keep it in house....

The good of the club is the main thing and there are many ways to teach the kids a lesson without this “death by a thousand cuts” by the sanctimonious media and vile nrl vultures.

A lot of us strugglers at the bottom of the table, we’d like to see you guys do well v other sides up there with you. You are still a “street team” of only a few marquee with a coach who is not supposed to succeed, trying your guts out, slogging it out against the odds. Nice underdog feel.

The nrl loves a villian.

Noose around his head and all that. Hopefully they’ll play for him. I’m sure jdb will, he knows what it’s like to be hated ( even if he was innocent).

it’s way over the top. He’s doing more time than the limo driver who f**ked the whole country.

Under my rules, 2 weeks, some additional charity, a co vid course, counselling and maybe a small donation.

Nope ...there is more to it....I'll leave it at that.

It absolutely beggars belief that not one of those players had the forethought to consider what may occur. The NRL is such an optics-obsessed organisation these days and this club has already been punished on more than one occasion for the NRL's crusade du jour.

But then this is the same team that watched seven other games of football at Magic Round and then proceeded to take the field and make multiple high tackles.

Whether one agrees with the punishment or not, the players should cop whatever comes their way- even if only for being too stupid for words.

Webster just stated on 100% Footy that both Griffin and Haran addressed the players after the warriors game and said words to the effect that we know you all like to get together and have a drink, but you just can't in the current circumstances....

The players went out and did it anyway....speaks volumes....
Yep heard that exactly this gives the club in M O P the right to decide who's contract stands and who's doesn't give hook the authority to decide who he wants to keep who he wants to get rid of and back him.

This incident was always going to happen. The players and club have lost it's way for some time now. Vaughan should go, and the rest of the players put on their final notices. Hook should also ask each player involved if they really get how they have really disappointed us fans who pay each week to follow and see this club win. They have now jeopardized the whole season with this selfish act. This is the lowest point in dragons history I have experienced and I have also let the club know.

Fair comment I respect you view, but honestly, I think it will all blow over. Just like every other breach and there have been many of them.

just think the media need like a story to sell advertising. Hysteria and all that.

A bad look, but in my view, not the end of the world. You’ll ( the club) will get through this. It’s not like a Mary thing.

de Belin was a surprise. I thought it was a farce the crap the NRL put him through the last few years (though he showed poor judgement the night he was accused) and that farce took a couple good years out of his career.

Like the rules or not (and the NRL can go <insert your own insult here>) if I was de Belin, I'd be thankful and I'd be complying with every stupid rule out there. Play footy, rebuild the career, make money and pay off the lawyers.

@uck Jack, live like a monk for the next 5 years and get you and your family's future right.

We all wanna talk about the Broncos being full of bad eggs, there are some seriously fat turds within the current Dragons squad that need to be flushed in a hurry. Corey Norman and Jack De Bellend are at the top of that list with Vaughn, Dufty and McGuire coming up behind them but only slightly. I mean fair dinkem, they're barely clinging on to the eight by a hymens worth of skin, and they think that is worthy of some massive celebration that simultaneously thumbs a big nose at the rest of the comp, especially the Warriors who haven't even been able to see their f**king families for 18 months.

You guys can count yourselves damn lucky you're going into the bye this weekend, but with Manly following the week after, it's going to get real ugly, especially if their Origin players back up.
