I’m not privy to the thoughts and opinions that have been written and said beforehand but I really feel sorry for Hook, his coaching staff, management and most importantly you guys the fans.

A SMH article reports that one of the players asked Ben Haran for a beers and bbq get together at WIN stadium to be held on the Sat night for the players, given the bye break and it being a neutral venue where they play and train so within the quarantine bubble. But it was denied on grounds of how they would have to all get home from the venue cause no ubers,taxis to be used. Geez, maybe they could of let them do it and organised a courtesy bus or something? Better than the eventual shit show that's unfolded instead. They made the wrong choice by going and doing it anyway but i'm sure some of the better run clubs will find ways to accomodate team get togethers and transport to keep outside contact.
The daily runnings of the club are just as poor.

Bit harsh wanting BH head on this one but I agree a bit of planning from the club could have helped. Surely a couple of drivers to get the Sydney boys home and the gong boys home could have avoided all this. Few beers and a bbq at Win Stadium after a recovery session would have been the way to go…

Regarding these reports of a Dragons player saying he was ashamed to be a Dragons player - this seems to illustrate the difference between the relentlessly successful Storm and the ever floundering Dragons. When the Storm salary cap scandal was first revealed the Storm closed ranks around all the perpetrators and showed the world a united front. They remained strong. I will never forget Bellamy with the players assembled behind him marching across the field to front the media. It was a powerful symbolic gesture and the club remained tight and successful for years after serving their punishment. We will do the opposite I fear, fall apart at the seams and be lucky to win another game this year. Next year we will not recover and be fighting not to get the spoon. Time for Griffin to pull out all his people management skills and try and turn this around.
