Not on that particular one.

But I do remember there would be kids hanging off everywhere and pity help any other kids that ran close by as they would be smashed by the kids on the carousel hanging off!!!

In relation to heddon greta there has been some rumours about a second screen going in. There also has been some rumours about the land being sold for development as well. Hope its the former

I've made a decision to go to the Yatala Drive-In when they next have something worth watching.

But only if Juan goes with me.

Will report back.

I drive past the Yatala drive-in every weekend Willow.
Looks like I might stop in for a while this Saturday.

Anybody who's been to the drive in lately or back then. Only memories I have of it were from my childhood. So I didn't know about that sort of thing

Don't see that many panelvans really. Plenty of utes with peiple sitting in the bacjk, or hatchbacks with kid in back and parents sitting outside with wine and cheese

The video (vhs and beta) was the beginning of the end for drive ins. I think the one at gateshead closed late 1980s and is now industrial. I really wish there was more of them but technology has just taken control these days

Yeah cuz according to one of those web sites repeat run movies were their bread and butter but the VCR put a full stop to that. Plus the land became valuable. Hence why Skyline at Lambton is now a housing estate and as you mentioned Metro at Gateshead is now an industrial zone.

If those were the films showing, I'd probably try and find some *other* drive-in activity to distract me...
