Early 2012 Premiership odds.

Sharks and Titans should be more like $1000!

Eels and Raiders are both good value at $21.

Agree with the first part, but if Furner is a premiership winning coach then my arse is a fire engine.

Do we have odds to make the eight? Those are the ones I usually have a ping at.

Are the Rabbitohs odds based on a "real world" premiership or a "Souths" premiership?

Do they have a halfback?

Do they still have the best forward pack in the world?

Dragons are too short at $11...

It's a pretty common occurrence for us, particularly throughout the last decade. Although we are one of the top teams in the competition when it comes to making the finals (from that point of view giving us a chance of taking it out every year) our reputation usually means that our odds of winning the Premiership are sometimes a little too short.

At the same time though, I'm predicting us to finish around 5th-6th on the ladder, which is where they have us. I think sports agencies normally start the season too short for most teams, and fluctuate way too much during the season. Your team can have a mini form slump and another $5 can be added, and vice versa if you start the season well.

If I was a Newcastle fan, I'd probably be taking the $9, as Bennett teams are reknowned for being extremely good starters. I'm expecting Canberra to start (and do) a lot better this year too as long as Campese starts the season well, so I think at $21 they're the best value at the moment

Manly: $7
Storm: $8
Newcastle, Warriors, Tigers: $9
Broncos, Dragons: $11
Bulldogs, 50uff$: $15
Roosters, Cowboys: $17
Raiders, Eels, Panthers: $21
Titans: $41
Sharks: $51

From tabsportsbet

Panthers are very generous @ $21 to be honest with you. - $30+ for mine they have nothing.

Titans @ $41 is lunacy - $15 would be right.

Rest look about right.

Raiders should be at least $5001 for the premiership, $1.01 for the spoon.

With 7 or 8 losses from the first grade squad and no experienced replacements whatsoever there is no chance whatsoever of them finishing higher than 16th.

You seriously need to get a grip.

I know it's pretty easy to write Souths off, but Michael Maguire is a very talented coach. They won't win it imo, but he did wonders at Wigan who have a similar recent history (though not the length). He had significantly less resources at Wigan comparitively and should make sure a few of those bellies go down.

Titans will leak plenty of points on the fringes, but should crack the 8.

There are too many teams that can go either way for em to put on a serious bet, so I'll go for a token one on the Doggies.

How much did you put on souths this year?
$50. But I'll make it back with these crazy odds.

1. Our 2012 halves pairing will be better than our 2011 halves.
2. Fully fit, we do have the best forward pack in the world.
3. We now have a first class coach for the first time since readmission. He will do wonders and make us a legit top 4 team.

can anyone post the same market from this time last year?

Just to see how close they were to getting it right.

Well what do you know...the two Grand finalists were roughly where Souths is now in the betting. Another good sign for 2012.

Good team on paper...

Big question on the halves though, especially if Prince doesn't bounce back from a pretty crappy year!
