I think the role Joseph Paulo was playing in this team last night was so confusing and detrimental to the overall team. Im surprised Joseph Paulo knew his role, let alone the rest of the players. Like what was he suppose to be playing, middle half, tight forward all in one. Waste of an interchange if you ask me...

It's actually a good idea, but one better suited to a team that is stronger in the middle.

The idea is it changes the shape/structure of the team and allows the left and right halves to get wider.

I agree with the principle, but I dont think Paulo is the player to be doing it and I dont think it suits our team at all.

All it does at the moment is pass across the field to players who seem to be standing still. We lose ground rather than go forward. This is the type of style top level teams could use, not p$%s weak ones

So Joey Johns said on The Footy Show yesterday that Parra needs to sign a five-eighth who can organise the team so Sandow can just play instinctively. Well that is good in theory, but we have already bought a player that appears to be a non-organising 6 in Norman. Not sure if Peats best attribute is organisational ability as I have not really seen him play, but if he isnt an organising type, where does this leave us with Sandow? We need at least one person who can organise what is going on out on the field.

Dont get hung up on organisational players. They don't exist. Or could it be that the annoited half back of the century knows more then Pou.

I agree with Johns we are lacking a genuine organiser, and Sandow will never be that player. Im not sure that Norman can be that person either because I haven't seen enough of him playing in the 6. It seemed to me that the team seemed more composed at times on the weekend, but we still made fundamental errors at times late in the tackle count that cost us chances at more points.

Maybe we should give Kelly the time to be our organiser seeing that he is contracted until the end of next year.

I think Kelly we be given a good crack at halfback. Sandow will be ruled out for the remainder of the season with a crook knee or some other medical condition that gets him out of playing for Wenty. Stuart confirmed on the weekend footy show that Sandow was definitely dropped on form not because of injury for the weekend.

Hopefully Sandow digs his heels in and keeps defying the Wenty jersey. More reason to f**k him off. Mentally piss weak.

Not sure if that was Kelly's fault - do recall Roberts getting caught twice on the last without kicking.

Bit hard to judge Kelly when his spine partners are mullany , Roberts and Keating - he may look better if he is working with Hayne , Norman and maybe peats (but sandow may to )

But Kelly did play ok and defence seemed better

I think we should at least give him sometime without Sandow for a month. But then...what do you do with Sandow??

Joey Johns... still thinks the game is played like it was 10 years ago.

Sandow was picked at halfback by Jason Taylor - a bloke who himself was a noted organiser. Taylor was well aware that the game doesn't need organisers the way it used to.

Seems Joey is stuck in a drug-induced haze where it's 2001 and he's still the king of rugby league.

Of course he is. And that's why the brightest young halves pairing in the comp, Cherry-Evans and Foran, are doing so poorly under his tutelage.

What a ridiculous argument. Johns is still actively coaching halves in the NRL. Clutching at straws to the extremes

After one game, I see no reason why we should bring Sandow back. Kelly was great. I know it's a dilemma having so much coin tied up in one player, but like Morts, he'll leave eventually. Time's up. Get rid of him.
