By the way gentlemen in the frantic push to sign Sandow back in the Osborne era I heard last night that his contract is back ended so much that he will be earning $750k per year for the final two years of his contract.

Considering he's on a reported $1.6M contract, he must have only been on $50k each of these first two years.

That's pretty cheap really.

It's also been reported that he is on $550k per year by Russell Crowe who owns the club, was frantically trying to re-sign him, but hey what would be know?

Besides you have used the figure of $550k before and stated that it was cheap considering the cap was going up but in this instance you want to use the above figure to argue. Like I said you need to have a good memory to be a bullshit artist.

f**kwit.

So why would Rusty talk it down if it was $750k?

Exactly. Goes to show none of us know how much he's on.

I can't for obvious reasons say who the source is but if you knew I would have the last laugh.

It's only cheap if he's playing and playing well. Expensive if hes sitting in the grandstand pretending to be injured.

I saw him limping during the match last week, and when the Wenty team was named some fan of his tweeted "f**k Rikki Stewart cuz!!!" and Sandow replied that Sticky was tops and that he was only dropped because of injury.

I saw him limping as well. Would seem like unneeded media attention to drop him when he could have just sat out injured. Especially with the pressure he is under. Something not right there.

Been told by a close mate, Wallace isnt wanted at Brisbane and Sandow isnt wanted at parra. Not sure how it will come about. For starters back when Sandow signed Russel tweeted Sandow signs 1.6 for 3 yrs.It was actualy for 4 yrs and included 70k from sponsorhips. So im guessing he is on closer to 330-350k a year.NOT 550k
At that price i think a few clubs would be intrested in him especialy if we coughed up 50k

It does seem fishy. Here's my guess:

Sandow is injured. Sticky tells him that he can have a rest vs the Panthers but he will be named in Wenty so that Sticky looks like he is making the tough calls. Sandow agrees for whatever reason is suitable to the little ratbag.

Yet without him and Hayne we were only able to score one try. Our second try was an intercept.

Without Sandow we were able to limit our opponents to score less than 5 tries for the first time in 2 months.

Both fair points.

Our attack is better with Sandow, but our defence is better without him.

I'd still have him in the side, because a halfback contributes a lot more in attack than in defence.

The reason we defended (relatively) well last night is because we competed in the ruck.
