Mannah's one of those guys - like about 50 NSW-eligible players - who will make the Origin team if his club side is paying well and miss out if they're not.

How many certain selections are there in the NSW side? Most of them are there because their teams have played well since last Origin.

I agree with you, mate. I'm just saying that on form, Mannah has been brilliant this year. But because be plays for the second last-placed team, he gets ignored.

I think the Wallace to Penrith move needs to happen for us to offload Sandow.

With Wallace and Norman out of Brisbane that will leave them with only Scott Prince in the halves. Now granted he is a great organising player, but they will lack some creativity with just him in the halves. "Offloading" Sandow to a team where he will only be 3 hours from his home town I think could also do Sandows career the world of good. He is going no where at Parra accept collecting a big fat cheque that we are not getting a return for. Plus the money that we signed Sandow for was under the old Salary Cap and a contract for a half that he is on here is not that outlandish money to pay a half under the current Salary Cap, so I can see the Broncos taking him at full value.

With the likes of Hayne, Norman and Hoppa in the backline we dont need a superstar half, we just need someone that can make the right decisions at the right times and have a relatively good kicking game. I think we then will be in a position to have someone like Sam Williams or Hodgkinson here. A half that is probably more suited to the coach than the current half is.

Two - Mannah can count himself unlucky not to be playing for the Blues.

I disagree. I think he is a great solid first grader but I never even thought he was Origin quality when he did make the team. The fact the he was only getting 15-20 mins in Origin also probably helps my argument.

I love the way sandow has become a scapegoat in a side where the forwards are offering f**k all platform...

I agree that the forwards are the major contributing issues with the teams current form, but Sandow isnt the right option, he was never the right option and he isnt the right option for us going forward either.

bloody hell one thing im sick of is our club off loading our players who are the real deal. how long have we been after good halves yet we let them go. imagine our halves being hodkinson and maloney with mortimer at hooker or the no.14

I thought we didn't do offloads and that was the problem?

Maybe I'm reading you wrong?

In the first half when the forwards held their own, he was awful. I'm sure if he capitalized on some of the chances we had the forwards would have gained confidence and kept holding them. Just my view mate.

I would've thought the comment would be we can only hope that I am NOT right, because at this point in time we are stuck with him for another 2 1/2 seasons.

I was hoping for you actually.

Personally I hope you're wrong which is why I never predict anyone will fail.

Not really - Hindmarsh never played many minutes, despite being more than good enough to do so.

As for Mannah, well...I can't change your mind, but have a gander at these stats (courtesy of nrl.com):

James Tamou's 2013 stats

11 games played
171 hit-ups (15 per match)
1,602 metres (145 metres per match)
267 tackles (24 per match)

Tim Mannah's 2013 stats

11 games played
146 hit-ups (13 per match)
1,373 metres (125 metres per match)
334 tackles (30 tackles per match)

The stats are fairly even. IMO the only reason Mannah is being overlooked is because he is playing for a shit team.
