More reason why I stupid club like parramatta would sign him. What the f**k is wrong of this board to even consider such mediocrity!

Kent should stick to blowing his best Bud Ricky , comparing Flogball which has a draft and RL which has a salary cap is laughable. How quick did the Roosters get back up the ladder??? We have recruited fairly well next season if we don't lose anybody we should be far more competitive. Keep kicking us merkin more excuses for your mate Ricky. Wonder what excuses he will trot out next season??

Is it me or are we taking our sweet time in talking to coaches? We should have been talking to coaches as soon as Ricky handed in his notice

We have seriously dropped the ball in this area, I've always maintained that the moment the speculation about Stuart's future arrived we should of given him an ultimatum with a week to think about it than basically approached a potential candidate with a promise to offer him the role on the proviso that Stuart walks, we would then negotiate, draw up a contract and make an announcement within 48 hours of Stuart walking, which would of been around 3pm that Friday afternoon... We're now in a ridiculous situation where we may still be without a coaching staff a few weeks out from November

Dumb dumb dumb

Who's to say we haven't met a deal with someone?
As I've said before, the 2 big candidates are Henry and Taylor and when Ricky left both were involved in the finals. Now Henry isn't, but JT still is, I don't think JT would want to talk or have an announcement made while he is still in the finals...

That's a fair call regarding JT, if it is him I expect him to be announced about 2 to 3 days after the roosters finish their 2013 campaign

Why not? It's a head coaching job.it's his future especially when Neil and others ate probably available to talk

Unless he wants to stay as an assistant coach

Do you really think rushing in an appointing someone is the best way to go? I think the next coach is a critical appointment for the club - one that should not be rushed.

I believe that a thorough interview process should take place to determine the best candidate.

What you are suggesting is no different to the scenario that gave us Hagan and Kearney, and possibly Stuart.

Who's to say he hasn't spoken to us briefly, maybe the club has told him the job is his. But he is respecting the Roosters and not letting it be announced or discuss finer details till the Roosters season is over.
I think the more we go without a coach, the more JT firms.
If its Henry I'd expect an announcement by early next week.

It the predicament and precarious position that the club is in right now we should take the quick thinking process, and i think theres enough quality candidates out there to do that, that's just my opinion

We were f**ked though because even though Sticky had an out clause, the club did not. If we had sacked him (the only possible threat behind an ultimatum) then we would have to pay him out.

We would also have been hampered in negotiations with any new coach because we couldn't even offer a definite job - the availability of our head coaching job was dependent on Stuart f**king off.

I hope you are right but if you are correct why are they interviewing candidates ? Also this week would have been perfect to announce Taylor as coach due to the roosters having the week of. Taylor could have spent one day doing media etc then no more comment until roosters season is finished. Then the coming players would know what is happening
