I don't understand this phrase "most undersorable job in the NRLl"' it is actually up there with the most desirable. Speak to Brian Smith and he will tell you that is a great position to get even the person quoted has tSuggest that the so caled board issues at the Eels are nothing compared to those at a rookie.

Brad doesn't have a 10 year plan, he is very committed local who played in the juniors and travelled to get the experience to give him this opportunity, and if he gets it we should be pleased to see the work he will do to get success.

At the end of the day, I would love Brad to get the nod, but would have no probs with JT, neither will accept poor commitment and a bad attitude. Bring it on

Having said that, I say it all the time, but I'm really impressed with the things Arthur said in that article.

I especially liked when he said that we have a lot of potential in our roster, and that he wants to coach in an aggressive style (I took that to mean to at like Manly does, and if love that).

The way his worded this is good, if he can carry out his coaching like his mentioned it would be a breath of fresh air and the club would be on the up again.

I would just like to add that Ray Price needs to walk away from the club and stay right out of it. He has done enough damage.

It was Price that called for Daniel Anderson's sacking. Price also called for Brian Smith's sacking the same year that the Club won the Minor Premiership and the Club Championship for the 5th straight year.

I respect Ray Price as a player and what he has done for this club from a playing point of view but as an administrator he has been a disaster.

I'll go further and say that the whole Eels club has been cursed since the Ray Price statue was erected in early 2010. Gone backwards ever since.

I reckon the club should sell the Ray Price statue or send it off to New Guinea.

How have I failed 'buddy'? Dont know what planet you are living on but nobody from Parramatta has declared Brad Arthur as the coach. Just pure speculation.

Jason Taylor hotly tipped, still backed by half the board.

Hold on. You said that it was a done deal. Waiting on GF. He was already arranging his assistant coaches.

WTF ?? Are you having an each way bet now ?

Wasn't that because Brian invited Ray to speak with the Players and apparently did some damage to their preparation before a game, and he had his folder stamped "Never Again". When Price was told of this he appealed to Fitzy who backed his coach.

I think you'll find that 1987-2010 wasn't exactly a golden era, even compared to 2011-13.

It's a lot more accurate to suggest that the footy side has one backwards since pricey retired, and has never had a leader of his class since.

You couldnt say that Brian Smith was a failure at Parramatta. Missed the finals only twice between 1997 and 2005. Won 5 club championships, and pretty much developed local talent into a powerhouse, most of which were fielded in the 2001 grand final.

I dont know what planet Ray Price is from but he was part of 3 losing grand finals for Parramatta. I'm not being critical but grand final losess happen. They are so hard to win and there's several clubs that havent won premierships in 30 years. Big deal. Parra fans should be greatful to have a competitive team. grand finals will come
