I'm shocked, amateur hour...... :crazy::crazy:

Has Sharpy really done this or is it just more journalistic slander dressed as "free press"?

"After slumping to the bottom of the ladder having lost 7 of 10 games, Parramatta Board Chairman Steve Sharp said yesterday that coach (insert name here) had the full support of the board......."

Terrible decision by Sharp to put this in the media. Sounds like he is worried that he isn't going to get his own way. Shocking decision. What happens if JT gets the job over Arthur now? Ametur hour.

I won't be surprised if we f**kibg fire Craig Coleman as our coach with the way our board is.

Time to get rid of the tradies!

I recall an interview with Scott Seward following his appointment where he stated that the Coaching Position was HIS decision with the support of The Board.
So where is our new CEO on this issue. Not sighted off Nobbys.
Is it possible for this great club to get its house in order. I live in hope but sadly on recent evidence it appears not.

3 from 10, I'd just about take that start after the past 3 seasons.

How embarrassing, I have no problem sharpie putting forward who he wants to get the job but why tell the press???

And where is the new CEO in all of this??

Time for him to step up and sharp to fade away into the background.

The article has been updated

. PARRAMATTA'S search for a new coach has been thrown into turmoil after the board overruled chairman Steve Sharp's push for Manly assistant Brad Arthur to get the job.

The Daily Telegraph understands Sharp was out-voted 4-2 at a marathon meeting, with the majority in favour of Roosters assistant Jason Taylor.

Another board meeting could be convened as soon as today to finalise the appointment.

Taylor now appears to be the overwhelming favourite because he enjoys majority support.

But the split will create tension for the successful candidate because they will be appointed without the full support of the six-man board.

Current Eels players have thrown their support behind Arthur, while former greats such as Nathan Hindmarsh and Nathan Cayless believe Taylor is the man for the job.

Surely sharp must realise a chairman is not a dictator, the board makes the decision not the chairman

Yep the board should keep the decision making process in house. Surely sharp as a public servant shoujd know this - he would be pretty familiar with implementing decisions he may not agree with.

Well I'm quietly excited that things are turning towards Taylor and away from Arthur(s's)

I don't see a massive problem with Sharp being outspoken about who he wants - it's what he does with that outspokeness if he doesn't GET what he wants that counts. Sure, he should've kept his mouth shut - but can't take the words back now can he!
