Eels Army???

Yes, there would be, strider.

Myself and others have already mentioned that you'd have to piss certain people off.

But it comes down to this - do they want an actual B&G Army? If they do, sacrifices have to be made, unfortunately.

Yeah well we won't be able to do anything with it until we actually decide what we're gonna do, haha.

Until then, I was just thinking maybe a slideshow of photos or something simple. Something to show that we at least (theoretically) exist (or will exist....or something!)

even if the home game part of the plan doesn't start in 2010 due to the sth timing constraints, then there's no reason the away game part of the plan can't proceed.

in reading the ideas in this thread, i kind of see them as two separate components anyway?

Well ye have pics and then have a register interest link and have a form where people fill in details.

However, we'll need a bit of storage to store the data.

storage is covered. I'm happy to do the design, coding and cover the hosting at no cost on the basis that someone is prepared to give me something to work with...

I've got 30Gb of storage and 300Gb of bandwidth per month that comes with the URL I have registered.

(I think, haha)

You would have too much trouble removing current STH's at the moment without prior warning, unless you upgraded their seats.

In terms of the Away venues, I'm always a fan of getting along the sideline/corners where possible. Thie could be arranged at Shark Park, Penrith, St George, WIN, ANZ, SFS without too much trouble IMO. It would help if the club set aside tickets of course.

I was thinking this myself. So, what, free upgrade to the grandstand?

As for organising tickets, I think this is something that there should definitely be more of and it's something that I plan on enquiring about. A quid pro quo situation is something you'd be looking to organise.

True eels are elongated fishes, ranging in length from 5 centimetres (2.0 in) in the one-jawed eel (Monognathus ahlstromi) to 3.75 metres (12.3 ft) in the giant moray. They possess no pelvic fins, and many species also lack pectoral fins. Most true eels prefer to dwell in shallow waters or hide at the bottom layer of the ocean, sometimes in holes. These holes are called eel pits. Only the Anguillidae family regularly lives in fresh water, and returning to the sea to breed. Some eels dwell in water as deep as 4,000 metres (13,000 ft), or are active swimmers (the family Nemichthyidae — to a depth of 500 metres (1,600 ft).

Just my 2 cents. "The Eel Pit" would be a pretty good name for your group.

As "The Army" ties back to Saint George and his army way back when.. And Souths have "The Burrow" for accomodate a Rabbits dwelling.

Just a thought. Good ideas on here though!

Why is it the Dragon's army then? Wouldn't that suggest you are rolling with the Dragon instead of George?
I am not a fan of the Army either, it wasn't original when St Merge lifted it from numerous team supporter groups, and It's not original now. What's important is the concept, and I like it.
