Eels booed at halftime and fulltime!

f**k that, I booed Easts against Newcastle & Manly in 2009. When they put in pea heart performances that the coach of an under 6's team would be ashamed of you let the merkins know you're upset. Most of these blokes are earning $100k, some double & triple that so there's no excuse to put in pea heart performances.

I think we can all accept a loss when they put the effort in but the other team were just too good, that's life but putting in zero effort is a slap to the face of the paying fans and the club that pays their highly generous wage.

I wouldn't blame Kearney. I do think he was overrated but that isn't his fault either.

In terms of talent the other 15 squads are relatively equal, the Eels are a level below. It's just a case of not having the cattle. They overpaid for Sandow who has more talent than brains. They haven't cleared out popular but past it players like Burt and Hindmarsh who have gone on a season too long.

Getting rid of the coach wouldn't acheive much.

Titans and Eels to go toe to toe for the spoon.

If I was a Parra fan I'd probably boo them as well. Turning up like that for two weeks straight is not something you expect of your team....mind you, I never gave them much hope when Sandow signed.

Penrith were 0 and 8 to begin 2002, which was on the back of a wooden spoon year of 2001, and was also Lang's first 8 matches in charge at Penrith. Even labelled Penrith the joke of the league at one stage. Only Souths and the Dogs finished below us, and winning only 7 matches.

Which makes 2003 more remarkable...

On Sandow why did he take that drop out before half time. He has 40 seconds to take a drop out and there was 35 seconds on the clock. A smart halfback would know that.

I was at the game - I didn't boo, but wasn't surprised at the noise from the remaining supporters. You can't blame them - it wasn't entirely directed at the players, I would have booed at the coach and the front office. Kearney was copping it from supporters around the coaches box.

Yes sacking Kearney won't solve all the problems but it is clear he is at the heart of it. He was been massively overrated and the players have given up him.

I think it's 45 seconds. I couldn't believe it.

Sandow didn't wanna be there. Several of the line breaks made you could see him jogging in the background, huffing and puffing.

Kapow Sandow!!

What happened to Justin Horo? I thought he was a decent backrow prospect for the Eels. Same with Loko, I know he did his ACL but surely he is fit by now?

Something has to change, and a good start would be to get rid of these dead wood old timers

That sentence sums up the attitude of why the club is an utter disgrace at the moment.

Wayne Bennett could have come to the club and those secure numpties in jerseys probably keep their spots and the board sacks him

I predict some banners like this at games before too long if the eels keep going the way they are

I've seen the Knights put in some absolutely woeful performances and been frustrated like hell because of it - BUT - I have never once booed them, I have never once left a game early and I never will.

One of my biggest gripes when going to the footy is when people start leaving the game early. Can you imagine how demoralising it is for a team to glance up and see people making a mass exodus?

I'm sure people are going to disagree with this and say that the best way for the team to learn is by fans venting their frustration but honestly I just think it makes matters worse.

It's easy to be a fan when your team is winning but the true measure of support is how you react when they're losing and losing hard. I will never curse the team that I love.

:clap::clap::clap:......well said, no matter how bad your team is playing you do not boo them and you always stay till the fullime siren

Parra fans, hang in there, it will come good

this is just my opinion, but i think Parra need a clean out, and go and start from scratch, like manly did after the beagles JV, where we would buy a blue chip player and a couple of second tier players and and then feed the junior and younger players in, the older players will bring the younger players along

Ben Kennedy taking Anthony Watmough under his wing is a perfect example of this

Booing your team because they are losing is pathetic. Booing your team when they aren't even trying is justified. Who cares how demoralized they are, they never showed up to play anyway.

Why should fans show respect to players who basically have no respect for the fans?

I think the players know that they suck. What they want to know is that they still have fans to play for and will stick by them through the worst.

the booing i can understand, because it was warranted Parra were shocking. But fans chucking coins is just not on disgraceful act and the fans should be ashamed. the players should also be ashamed for that insipid performance

Loko re-injured it in the off season and is out for the year.
