Eels booed at halftime and fulltime!

If you think it's 100% not on to boo your team you're a certified arse kisser. Teams not putting effort on deserve the embarrassment of their fans booing. You show your support by turning up the next week.

I've seen the Knights put in some absolutely woeful performances and been frustrated like hell because of it - BUT - I have never once booed them, I have never once left a game early and I never will.

One of my biggest gripes when going to the footy is when people start leaving the game early. Can you imagine how demoralising it is for a team to glance up and see people making a mass exodus?

The players deserve to feel embarrassed, ashamed, and demoralised after what they put in last night.

If fans embarrassing their team works as a motivational tool then no teams would have ever put in two really insipid performances in a row - but we all know that's not the case.

I guess though from what you're saying the true Parramatta Eels fans will be at their next home game.

The players deserve to feel embarrassed, ashamed, and demoralised after what they put in last night.

I suspect they would have been even without the crowd's help.

The booing was justified because the players disgraced their club. Simple.

As for the coins - clearly this was done by idiots. Only an idiot would thinks that Jamie Lyon was playing last night

Booing players is perfectly acceptable if you feel they weren't putting in the effort. Hindmarsh last week basically called them out on national television saying a number of players weren't trying and this week they were even worse.

Booing when your team is clearly trying it's best is unacceptable. But last night Parramatta suffered as much from a lack of effort and guts than they did from any lack of skill.

Booing is fine imo, especially when paid professionals put in performances like last night.

Imagine you turned up for work and just slept all day. You wouldn't get booed, you'd be f*cking sacked and rightly so

lol, didn't Hindmarsh get palmed off by Walsh?

Yeah. A poor effort by him but he came from no where to stop Jennings from scoring later on.

While Parra don't have the team to go well. For starters Ryan Morgan is hopeless every game he plays the opposition centre owns him. After every error the players heads dropped. So the body language was terrible. It showed on the field

That's exactly right, both very good points. I didn't boo the players but I might have done if I was sitting closer to the field. I certainly don't mind other fans booing either if they think the players aren't trying.

Some people are saying they feel sorry for Eels fans... Being an Eels fans I also feel sorry for general RL fans who were coming home on Friday night hoping to watch a decent game of footy but instead watched a game where one team played like an U7s side.

The players were obviously not trying in cases last night, there was no kick chase, no cohesion in either attack or defence, lazy hitups and lazy defence. Probably one of the worst performances attitude wise when I've attended a game. Of course the players deserve to get booed.

I think the players know that they suck. What they want to know is that they still have fans to play for and will stick by them through the worst.

I don't always leave early for bad only. If we are well in front the baby is mucking up or away & the train is a rush the 5-10mins makes all the difference

most games where a team is worthy of a boo. You get 50% either way. Last night was everyone booing. Last week we were poor but never did it look like no one was having a dig. That's all you want.

The thing last night was the body language was poor. Heads down the whole game it was a half arsed attitude & it showed. Most of those fans rushed there from work searched hours for parking to have that crap dished up. So fair enough.

I think fans are pretty good at spotting the difference between their team losing badly because they are having poor luck, poor decision making, or are just not good enough, and their team losing badly because their attitude is poor. All of the first conditions may have applied to the Eels, but their attitude was very bad and they deserved the booing.

I used to think leaving early was crazy, just because you might miss something good, even if your team is down by 50. But now with a baby I take to many games, if it is hot or wet or cold, or my boy is just cranky, I would leave early if the game result is decided.

Fans pay their money, they can boo or cheer and stay or go as they please.

2009 they only won 12 & lost 11 for the season; it was only Hayne's 09 run that got Parramatta to the Final, acually 3 of the past 4 season's there lost more games then there won
