Well whatever happens I won't go to or watch an Eels game ever again until the current board is voted out. Ever.

And I can't believe I'm saying that about the club I have supported passionately for the past 25+ years.

Anyone willing to go down tomorrow to eels head quarters, and make a bit of noise. We are the fans and we should be heard. This is OUR club and they are tearing it apart.

We can either watch it happen or do something. The board doesn't have the clubs best interest at heart.

We can sit here and type on our keyboards, or we can gather a group together??????

Wow Im feeling really crap at the moment. If the review has come up with all this sh*t that DA was doing wrong then why did it take all season for someone to find out? Doesnt someone keep an eye on all this? Or do we just appoint a coach and hope for the best. We just dont look very professional in any capacity. Maybe the players are just as much to blame as the coach. Will they be sacking any of them? And if Kearney doesnt win his first six games what then? So many questions, sadly not enough f**kin answers. Kearney must be mighty nervous about taking over this rabble. This board is going to be mighty nervous come next season. I can see that all this pressure is going to make us crumble. Oh well maybe 2012!

Mate, Kearney has knocked back first grade gigs in the past and if he's remotely nervous about taking the coaching role than he won't and he might as well never be a head coach because it's obvious that he would rather take a back seat in his career.

So when we get Kearney and he doesn't produce in his first year he will be punted? That's a good way to do things....

And also to get Kearney as a replacement is very worrying IMO. he couldn't even coach NZ to a WC single-handedly, he needed the help of Bennett. He does not look like the answer.

The Sunday Telegraph understands Anderson had the support of most senior players when they were interviewed over the past fortnight.

But it was a different story when members of his own coaching staff and other football club officials where interviewed by Gerard, Osborne and Duncan.

Among the recommendations from the report were: not to extend Anderson's contract; appoint a wrestling coach; address Anderson's communication skills with his staff; address the lack of player discipline and punctuality at training; more individual skill sessions; and the need for a better recruitment policy.

The report also recommended the appointment of a full-time football manager, which Anderson had originally not wanted.
If this is true then I can understand why DA is getting sacked/leaving. I believe that he should have been given the chance in 2011 to show us what his got as I really like him as a coach but if the above is true about having no structure within the club about not wanting a football manager, wrestling coach and lack of discipline and Ando being stubborn and wanting to do things his way I can understand why he is getting the sack. However the way they are doing it is totally wrong and out right embarrassing.

The board needs to go come election, the way they are running the joint and doing things is disgraceful IMO.

just so sad to see that last year this time things were looking upwards, we were in a GF and the club was flourishing now to see this just a year after is sad. The board is a joke and better suffer come election time.

you know what I find starnge Hev?

in the past five years we've had people here continue to be fans despite..

* calling for Cayless's axing as captain.

* a board that was voted out.

* a 30 year CEO leaving the club.

* people calling for Luke Burt's axing from first grade

* a coach walking out on the club in his 10th year because of a decision not renew his contract.

* several retrenchments of football club staff orchestrated by the current and former board.

the list is endless...

how is such a decision on the back of an apparent review effect so many supporters?..

Completely understand what you're saying and fans are not always going to agree with the decisions of a board.

BUT, the actions of this board all season have been disgraceful and this is the tip of the iceberg.

I can't support a club that is being overtaken and run into the ground like this. The board has clearly said 'This is our club and f**k everyone else'. As much as it pains me, I won't support them anymore.

Because our club has turned into a disgrace. The board leaks more then a wet pussy, and can't be trustees.

We can't attract players, coaches will reject the coaching job and it won't be long before sponsors disappear. Mind you, it's all the boards doing.

DA was a shot duck 6 months ago, regardless.

so according the board & sponsor. QA coach who has made 5 grandfinals in 9 years under 3 different teams does not know about putting structures & programes into place.

Whoever believes this board needs to jump off a bridge. You have been truly taken for a ride & my 35 year support of the club is over. I hope we win the spoon next year under whatever coach we bring in.

If ando had just a average halfback that could kick & pass we would have finished in the top 8. We lost 4 games be 2 points & should have won them if we had a decent kicking game.

Open your eyes what saved him this year is we made the grandfinal last year otherwise they would have sacked him then.

our board is embarrassing

You know what they say about successful clubs and front offices.

I am all for a totally independent review of the entire club. Remember what the Sharks did a few years ago with John Monie?

I think every aspect of the club needs to be reviewed. Start with the Board, their plans for the club (there should be a 1, 3 and 10 year plan) in terms of structure, sponsorship, development, football operations, leagues club operations etc.

Then look at the coach. As above he should have short and long term plans in place.

The support staff (assistants, trainers, recruitment staff, etc) should be included.

Lastly, the playing group need to be looked at.

We need, IMO, to get the joint professionally run. Look at Brisbane, Bulldogs, even Roosters for examples. They need someone, they usually get him (and I am not just talking about players).

Parra have a poor history of getting their man. How many truly 1st choice players have we recruited in the past 10 years? Poore, Tahu (the 1st time) are the biggest we have had. Usually when other clubs are in the hunt we miss out. Why???

Dragons managed to get Bennett from the Broncos. Why weren't we in the picture?

I am not questioning the current board or the coach. Every employee of the club must be accountable for performance, the same as you and I are in our jobs. I have no problem with letting a non-performing employee go if it is not working.

But ffs the Club needs to be run top to bottom professionally, otherwise we can never build a winning culture.

I am very sad to write this, but consider Parra's history since 1947. When, apart from 1976-1986, have we been truly a powerhouse?

Some will say 2000-2009 was a good decade, and that's true. But the fact that, for whatever reason, we never went on to win a premiership. And I think that a good part of that stems from the culture of the club - we don't expect a win, we are just thrilled to be there. Maybe that's an oversimplification, I don't know.

What I do know, is that Parra needs a good shake up. We have to ensure that we get smart, professional people in at all the key roles within the club, otherwise we will continue to make up the numbers.

If you honestly think/want this than I have one thing to said

'F*ck off and never come back. You are not and never were a true fan'

If you wrote this out of frustration and don't really believe it, I understand.

But true fans NEVER desert their team no matter the circumstances and they NEVER want to see their team win the wooden spoon.

Yeah Big Jack said something about a good team starts at the back office.

I'm continually amazed how we get so much press. This is before Fitzy and now after. Yes look at the Dragons and now the Tigers. When are their confidential board matters made public ? Down at the Tigers Dave Trodden and Kev Humphries Jnr run a tight professional ship and their coach is just as solid. Lets face it it can't be easy having 3 home grounds but they seem to get the job done without fanfare or complaint.

As much I would like to say that is a new page, we kinda said the same thing with this Board and Ando.

<sigh> :(

The Parramatta Eels are bigger than the board.

If you truly want all those things you wrote, you are not a true fan.

for those that want to jump ship, I think you should hang around and make your vote count, in other words if you aint happy, then do something about it, make your voice heard or send them an email

as for the poll, I really think there is alot of stuff that has happened that we dont know about, I think its hard to make an informed decision on what has been leaked to us so far

what we need is all the facts and the truth and we dont have all that atm

Sure I can.

True fans never desert their team. Never.

Do you beg to differ?

It's not about deserting the team. It's about the fact that my club has been taken away from me. To support the club with this board in place is to admit defeat. I have bled blue and gold for years, lived through thick and thin, went to every game even when I knew we would lose by 50 and never have I felt as disgusted as I do now. Ever.

I have worked in the industry, put my feeling aside for integrity and developed relationships with a number of people at a number of clubs and still I have never seen or felt anything like this.

So no, you can't.

Yes I can.

If you desert the Parramatta Eels at possibly one of our lowest ebbs, then I would never call you a true fan. Actually this a time when the true fans should be rising up and letting their voices be heard.

The Parramatta Eels are more than the board. They are the players, the fans, Parramatta Stadium, the jersey, the emblem, Parramatta, the Eels.

Deserting the club over the boards decision is freaking ridiculous and stupid and not true fan like.

So if you desert the club and we go on a good run next year, will you suddenly become a supporter again? Well guess what, you have just become a bandwagon fan. And bandwagon fans are not true fans.
