In his latest podcast, Gus was sharing the foolproof game plan to stop Turbo. He basically said that if you have to put up a perfect 5th tackle kick into the corner, chase in a line and don't let him run,. And when Manly have the ball, constantly have perfect line speed and put perfect pressure on all players around turbo and put perfect pressure on turbo. When Manly have the ball close to your line, don't let them put up a perfect bomb so Turbo doesn't contest it.

After all that, have a perfect completion rate to starve Manly of the balll.

Overall? I’d say Fittler but Kenny at his best was better than Fittler at his. I’m sure you’ll think thats a cop out answer but I don’t think it’s a particularly good question.

Hard to compare different players across different eras and say definitively which one is better.

Seeing that their eras basically overlapped all be it at the end of Kenny’s career the ‘different era argument’ is weak.

Not when you stop, engage your brain and think about how much the game evolved over the entire period that Kenny started (1980) and Fittler finished (2004).

During his period at the Roosters, Fittler was playing a game that was unrecognisable to the one that Kenny excelled at many years beforehand.

Im a huge fan of Sterlo, Kenny and The Crow but it would be Pricey every day for me when contemplating an Eel. The only other Id consider would be Gibbo but Im not sure if Coaches are eligible.

Even when he played for Australia, Kenny took his position at 6. 1982 Kangaroo tour from memory. They went with Mortimer and Lewis and eventually were replaced by Sterling and Kenny.

Im not trying to say who is better, just that Wally is an immortal already who is from the 80s ... Mal isnt the only one .... you could maybe even throw Artie in too cos his immortal status probably stems from what he did in the initial origins in the 80s
