Cleary's career win rate is ordinary and his record vs Arthur is poor. He won that premiership because of Gould's recruitment and pathways setups.

Eels prop Junior Paulo has accepted a one-match ban for his high tackle on Titans five-eighth AJ Brimson while Marcelo Montoya will front the judiciary on Tuesday night.

The Eels elected not to fight the grade two charge handed to Paulo, which would have risked incurring an extra match ban if the challenge was unsuccessul.

When do we grow a set and challenge these BS decisions? The incompetency from the stakeholders of the game is astounding.

Its probably the smart move but it certainly disheartens the fans. A close look at the video may have shown something but to the majority of fans we come across as soft co*ks. Probably the best timing to give Pawloooo a weeks break. Reg will now have to play 80 no doubt.

I think Reg is still running.
It's just mind boggling that certain clubs and certain players seem to escape the scrutiny and punishment.
Repeat offenders and we all know who they are but get slapped with a feather.
Integrity is at an all time low...

I'm sure he hits shoulder first and he goes straight through him and his head bounces back because of the whiplash which makes it appear worse than it is.
Anyways we all move on as Jnr is out for a week.
Hopefully Lane is back. Otherwise time for Rodwell or Wiremu to get a run.
Wouldn't be against having Papalii at Prop with Lane and Matto backrow.

No way. That was textbook. If thats now a problem then that game has a problem.

Paulo cant shrink himself when a midget runs at him. Shoulder on shoulder. No issues imo.
Paulo's going to have to get lower if he wants to drive in like that. The NRL doesn't even want to see accidental shoulders into heads. It sucks but that's how it is. I think the tackle should be legal but it isn't. The onus is on the defender. Just like when teams would lift Inglis off the pitch and he would dive head first at the ground. His fault, but the responsibility of the defence to make sure it can't happen.

The problem isn’t Paulo getting suspended. He makes forceful contact to head, but it’s not direct and think it’s reasonable, even for the most ardent anti-Eels fan, that head contact was accidental. If they want to limit head injuries, I think it’s reasonable for accidental hits be punished.
The NRL’s problem is the wilful ignorance, incompetence or whatever that despite being able to review game footage ad nauseum they miss or deem Herbert’s hit on Opacic as fine, or that NAS’ hit on Maka wasn’t as bad, or that Maka’s hit after that wasn’t as bad.
What the f**k do the MRC even do? They can’t just look at incidents that are put on report surely.

The problem was the opposition defensive coach. Turns out those merkins can run without legs.
