You could be right. But I still think Latrell Mitchell is a special case. He seems to hold so much power. On NRL 360 last night they were discussing Souths and Demetriou. Not one of those outspoken journos had the guts to really criticise Mitchell. They all skirted around it. You could see the pregnant pauses and the reluctance to say anything. It was bizarre.
If it had been some other player, they would have let him have it. It's bizarre how much power this guy has.
Everyone knows exactly what Latrell is going to say if they criticize him for anything at this point, and no one wants to be on the end of it.

A bit of pressure by the media at the most recent presser.
.Wayne Bennett.
.Do you need a Coaching Director.
.Blaze, yada, yada, yada.
.Wants Blaze to find his voice in the 2s.
.Sarantinos has apparently spoken out. Obviously I missed it.
.Only week 6.
.I guess we will see where we end up at the end of the season.
.We arent doing anything different.
.He wants Sivo to be disappointed and improve his effort areas.
.Sivo has a niggle but he dismissed that quickly.
.Expects a better effort from the team this week.
. Mitch hopefully only another 5 weeks.

Wayne Bennett... no, not realistic imo.
Coaching Director... a must-do appointment if we don't go deeper than Finals Week 2 this season. It will be a signal there is no extension coming, and provide some continuity for whoever the club attracts to take over from end 2025 (or early if BA walks earlier).
Blaize in the 2s... fair enough I reckon, he'll be better for the experience and has a future.
Sivo to feel disappointment and improve his effort areas... an admission the guy's a lazy f**k, and coach has rightly had enough.
We aren't doing anything different... well yes, that's probably the problem Brad!
Expects better effort... same as last week, and the week before. Don't we all Brad!

If Mitch is back in 5 weeks.

We really need to get to the bye 4-4.

These 2 next weeks are winnable they need to put everything into these next 2 weeks. Cows at Home and Dolphins in Darwin we should be winning.

Manly at Brookie may as well mark off as a loss now unless Turbo breaks down & DCE is crook as a dog.

In the BA era we have played at Brookvale 9 times for 4/5 win-loss record so not impossible that we get a win, but highly unlikely.

Thats true its still a tough place to play

I am actually going again this year to Brookie and am putting my 100% win rate for Parra at brookie on the line with my attendance. As I got tickets back in February.

Was there in 2022 ironically Moses didn't play that night Jake was the Halfback. Dylan and Gutho stood up. And the Manly fans walked out with 5 mins to go as we were waving them goodbye after Dylan ran 75m to seal the game.

I am worried I will be begging for Mercy on the hill though this time if we dish up a repeat of last Sunday night.
