You are basically guaranteeing to disinfranchise 90% of the fans of any team relocated. As if they would wanna do that.

Re the NRL taking us over and moving us to Gosford... I'd imagine Greenburg's focus would be more on making sure he can land the full Stadium Plan funding from the NSW Government in the next few weeks?

That means guaranteeing 65 games per year to be played out of the three revamped Sydney stadia, of which we can contribute 10-12 home games. Unless he moves us to Gosford, and gives himself no chance of landing the money except the already committed funds for the Parra Stadium upgrade - which would then become a ground with no resident home team.

I think we're safe from Gosford, even if we're not safe from a points deduction... and who knows/cares about if the NRL removes/replaces anyone from our Board?

You know I would hope the attitude of Parramatta fans would be kinda Siege mentality like.

"Go on NRL hit us with everything you've got, we will come back bigger and stronger and take all your premierships and prize money"

But it looks like we are going to be the Vipers nest we always have been.

I not only think we are going to lose points, but I think all leagues club directors will be forced to be removed from the PNRLC, and then the NRL will take control of the PNRLC and move us to Gosford instead of ANZ for 2 years to start the transplant process.

It's over folks. Job done, club killed. Funeral Services to start 2nd of May.

I'm sure you're joking, if not you've gotta lay off the billy's MITS. That is the most far-fetched, preposterous thing I've heard in this thread.

And that's saying something...

Just so you know why this will happen.

Greenberg is new to the Role of CEO, He will need to be seen as strong and to uphold the competition from any form of corruption. If he doesn't Paul Kent and the Editor at Large over at the Terrorgraph (the one that looks like Austin Powers) will burn him in effigy in the papers.

Moving to the Central Coast will mark off something for the NRL and will give the club space from the Vipers nest that is the rest of the Parramatta Eels club.

Looking at this from outside the Eels, this is the best result. It will suck balls for us, but it will make everything outside seem that justice as been done.
Yeah the NRL would move one of the strongest clubs in the NRL away from their heartland to the dead zone that is the central coast. And give a leg up to the AFL and GWS into the bargain. Mark has been sipping on some of Barts coolade.

There is no way they would move us to Gosford, yeah the board may have f**ked up!! But gee we are one of the strongest financial clubs in the comp with a huge bunch of passionate supporters. Moving games away from Sydney would create a huge backlash.

Compared us then to the dragons who are in financial trouble with huge loans to the NRL, the NRL can't even force then to move games to ANZ. The Tigers owe money to the NRL, they havent forced them to do anything. The NRL own the Titans and knights and have not made any major changes to the clubs,

Is he suggesting full re-location, or just for 2 years while they build the new WSW Stadium?

It don't worry me where we play as I'm too far away to get to many games anyway, but you would think for fans and members ANZ is the best choice as it's close and the corporate facilities are very good.
Moving us to gosford for 2 years won't solve anything, crowd numbers will drop and so will sponsorship dollars.

Why would they move us to Gosford?

I doubt expanding into the Central Coast is even on the NRL's radar.

Was MITS doing a funny?

anyone who's known MITS for as long as i, suity and twizzle have knows too well that he doesnt post anything without a great deal of thought and knowledge in it.

Have not heard anyone from the "sack the board" brigade come up with any viable succession plan for the club which eliminates the Spags and Fitzy problem.

AND before any of you start pigeonholing me as an apologist, this is what I posted yesterday.

What I want is long term stability. If that means without the current crew, then I'm all for it.

BUT I'm not going to tear down the walls if it lets the zombies in.

We need a carefully considered plan. Not knee jerk reactions.

Whilst Mits is a thinking man, any move to Central Coast would be so stupid only a Bulldogs supporter would think of it

The NRL are trying to centralise stadiums, a team that is 20 minutes from the largest stadium with the number of fans they have, would not be relocated anywhere like the Central Coast. Oh wait Greenberg is a Doggies man, won't happen but lets see how tough a stance he takes on yet another crowd behaviour problem at the Dogs

The look that the hierarchy have relating to that club re. suspensions, the treatment of Barba and a number of other indiscretions should turn even more focus on any favouritism shown

Mate, I have been reading this forum since the start and used to post under a different name back in the day.

I am well aware of his 'credentials'.

If most games moved to Gosford, how many members do you expect us to have next year? 15k?, 20K? 25k?

20-30k? probably get new members? we are 21k now, so this season probably gets close to 25k?

I will still be a member - won't you?

If you are wondering at the number of ticketed members, that would require consideration - it's a hike, but it could be worse?
I'd play at Gosford next year over a points penalty....

Regardless. It won't happen. Second biggest junior base in NSW. One of the highest numbers of members in the NRL. Financially strong. Plus the stadium is up for rebuilding. NRL would be shooting themselves in the head.
