That's good coming from you, I would suggest you spend most of your time telling us constantly what to think by criticising any opinion that is not in line with yours

Not sure you can share a room with your ego 😀

The irony of the dopes who keep telling me I post personally but don't even respond to the actual issues.

You just make assertions that I play the man or can't stand different opinions.

You do so by just attempting an insult which doesn't respond to any of the issues.

I'm still waiting from ten pages ago for you to validate the claim that I insulted you.

You just don't understand what the issues are.

Maybe you should make a vague baseless assertion about the roosters, shout a slogan like Better the Devil You Know, and make a claim that no one can accept a different opinion.

Meanwhile the adults can have the conversation.

So no one should be upset or worried if we lose the points???

Great that Bart is the expert on how people should think or feel.

Thanks Bart.

Hi there Suity, logged back in to make a few more personal threats :shock:?

lol. Paranoid much?
Just extending the invitation once again.
You never avoided a drink before. In fact, you were always keen for a catch up, weren't you?
We had many beers together.
But ever since you've been stalking me, you seem to appear to want to avoid another get together.

That's ok. I'm sure it'll sort itself out.

Now, which emoticon am I supposed to add..........
:cool: or
:crazy: or
:roll: or
:D

People can be upset hiney. But what I've been saying all along is that with a successful team and good depth in the club (without Watmough even playing), it's not the end of the world.

15 teams have made the finals in the last 3 years with more than 4 points to spare, while only 8 teams have missed out by 4 points or less. Are we good enough? You haven't responded to that stat...

I reckon we are good enough this year, unless members get caught up in a picthfork movement that distracts the squad from it's main aim. But people can feel what they like :lol: Thanks hiney.

:lol: this time without all the "get f**ked" forum comments preceeding the invitation? Sure, you're really keen to cacth up....

Me "stalking" you? By making some posts in the soccer thread... what did you say about paranoid? :crazy:

Ihaven't seen you/had a beer with you in what - 5 years? Life gets smaller and too busy. Maybe I'll see you at the relatively unimportant AGM Suity (unless you're involved with one of the factions on the day). But personally I don't think there's anything we can't just say to each other on here - unless you are worried about breaking forum guidelines?

What comes out of the review/investigation by th NRL is the real answer. Who knew and did what should be out in the open, wouldn't be surprised if some appointments who are not board members are seen to have had their fingers in all of it

Once the report comes out, then the issues will be reasonably transparent and whatever we argue about will be set out for final consideration. The delay in this report has no doubt contributed to the amount of angst generated.

Yes that's fair enough

Interesting Special Resolutions on the AGM Notice paper.

The first one appears to be removing the former Special Qualification that allowed some level or automatic cross-pollination between the Leagues Club and Football Club boards. Fair enough imo - especially since the Football Club Board had to fold when it didn't hold its AGM/elections.

The second one appears to be a clarification of the issue of eligibility to run in elections, recently highlighted by rulings about Ben Smith and/or Ray Price (and maybe Eric Grothe Jr a while back?) being unable to contest elections when under the employ of the Club. Again, sounds fsir enough to me.

None of that should make for a contentious AGM imo... unless the people with pitchforks can dream up some sinister motives? :cool:

All true Bart so agree the AGM should be boring.

Of course since the last AGM we have only had:
1) Salary Cap breaches on all 4 caps;
2) Dismissal/Resignation of Football Club CEO;
3) 114 items of change identified as a result of forced 'governance review';
4) Legally ok but morally questionable self-approved increases to honorariums;
5) Ex-Player Hopoate sue us for damages in the Supreme Court as a result of bungled contract renewal

And unknown now but possibly resolved by 2nd May is the allegations of additional salary cap breaches either since the prior breach notice or beforehand but not found until after.

Nothing for members to even care about or bother turning up at the AGM for right :sarcasm:

Did you notice page 39 Note 22 Contingencies? No contingency allowed for Hoppa or for the current formal Salary Cap review the NRL are undertaking?

Lets hope we haven't lost the 4 points by then as well.

Nothing to worry about mate. Absolutely nothing.
The AGM sounds like a good chance to catch up Bart?

7Mate is showing re-runs of Mythbusters at the same time as the AGM.
Want to come over and have a beer instead of heading down the Club for the AGM?
