If the insurance on Watmough happened 2 weeks after his injury we would not even be talking about it.
The injury was done in February, he hasn't a game at all this season not even a trial.
But somehow other clubs think it is convenient?
Now that just tells me other clubs think we are a massive threat to their team either making the 8 or winning the premiership and want us out for the finals.

Insurance companies have their own processes and timing. There are not going to be swayed by Greenberg's made up deadlines or penalties or some some arbitrary calculations in some convoluted cap guidelines.

Insurance companies have no idea. Made a claim once and they said it wasn't covered, 6 months later I get a call saying the cheque is in the mail.

Jimmy smith said on mmm he spoke to someone from the insurance company and was told that watmough had filed in the paperwork back in February and its been sitting there for 3 months.

So the club knew all along he was retiring?

And with the 3 months, is that due to neglect or waiting period? 3/6 months are common waiting periods of its relating to income protection

Same source who said were only getting a small penalty one week and then all of our points the next?

Dibs, even those in the know can sometimes be wrong. This is a delicate situation, and avenger has been right 99% of the time.

for all we know the info might have been right at the time but due to the media witch hunt the nrl decided to go harder on the penalty so they wouldn't be called soft.......which they were anyway

I think it is important that if the eels knew all along he was retiring ie feb, and there is proof, we really shouldn't cop any penalty as we have been compliment all along.

If the club knew, and then went out and obtained Jennings as a consequence to cover watmough then we should have all out points given back.

Plus more for Greenberg being bald/ex Bulldog.

I don't doubt avengers source being genuine but the point is next week his mail might be different therefore is irelevant. Also his source I assume is in the eels camp so probably doesn't know what the nrl are thinking. I also reckon 99% is an exaggeration lets say 80% just to be conservative

Let's just stay negative then.
