The absolute delusion of the emperor arriving at NRL HQ this morning and offering to help, heres a message - if you weren't such a douchebag, then we would still be playing for a chance

What a real ar**h*le of a human, how could those dodderers that were at the AGM line up with him, friggin incredible

Most on here think Fitzy an oxygen thief but its not his fault the current board were cheating the cap and given multiple chances to declare everything then failed to do so.

The only reason that smug prick gets keep to raising his head is the dopes running the show keep giving him opportunities to do so.

Assuming it was Fitzy or one of his mates that twent to the NRL, shouldn't you still be directing your anger at those that actually did the cheating? They don't cheat, he can't go to the NRL

Hard to argue with you.

Such is the confidence in the Eels, even after this deduction they are still a shorter price ($36) to win the comp than Souths ($38).

We were $26 to win the comp before we even played a game...

the leaks were to the media who lapped it all up, not the NRL

3:27pm - Eels last-ditch court effort to stop NRL punishment

Amy Dale and Michael Carayannis

PARRAMATTA Eels staff at the centre of the salary cap scandal have taken urgent legal action against the NRL for the penalties handed down this morning.
The case is being heard in the Supreme Court by duty judge Justice Rowan Darke and is being brought by at least three plaintiffs - CEO John Boulous, football operations manager Daniel Anderson and current chairman Steven Sharp.
It understood the action was urgently sought following a meeting the Eels board had with NRL CEO Todd Greenberg at 7:30am.
It was announced the morning that the NRL would fine the Eels $1 million, dock them all 12 competition points, strip them of the 2016 Auckland Nines title and sack five club officials as a result of systemic salary cap rorting.
The Daily Telegraph understands the club is seeking an injunction because the punishment and sacking causes them to be unable to carry out their functions under the Corporations Act.
Justice Darke noted the matter is being brought "with some urgency."

Supreme Court action looks like it is trying to stop the deregistration of officials and nothing to do with losing points

Doesn't matter who it was to. Fitzy wasn't the one doing the dodgy

EK, answer this honestly, do you think that the issues raised in this instance are not happening at evey club in the top half of the table. My point as that no other club has someone so self absorbed that they would rather see the club suffer to protect what they see as their legacy

Sure , there were some dodgy shit, but much the same is going on elsewhere. Without a whistleblower, no,one gets caught, shredding machines are getting a massive workout and deletions by IT guys are running red hot across th NRL

That's why there is so much traffic directed at one person

Whether it is happening anywhere else is irrelevant today. We were caught and there is nothing we can do about it.

What a suprise, all about saving their arses and not about the team and the fans.

Are other clubs cheating the cap. Most likely but until you have any sort of evidence I will believe them to be innocent. If a club cheats and get caught the only ones to blame are the ones who did the cheating not the ones who were the whistleblowers. When the Bulldogs were caught the anger was directed at McIntyre et al, with the Storm it was Waldron

Why are so many Parra fans wanting to blame Fitzy or the NRL. When their board cheated, refused to cooperate with the investigation, refused to admit guilt when given the chance, continuously lied to fans through false press releases and continued to claim they are under the salary cap when they arent
