Are other clubs cheating the cap. Most likely but until you have any sort of evidence I will believe them to be innocent.

How about having a better squad than most other clubs every single year? Is that not evidence enough for you? Any talk about an 'even playing field' is absolute bullshit.

mate give it up the points are gone and never coming back

No, they are not.

The NRL has stated that we can begin accruing points from the time of salary cap compliance.

If Watmough's injury leads to a payout in excess of the cap breach for 2016, and if Parramatta are reimbursed for salary paid back to the date of injury, then legally we have been salary cap compliant from the moment of Watmough's injury.

As such, any points accrued since that moment have been gained under salary cap compliance and we can keep them.

Your a fighter, i would rather just start fresh. Put it behind us. And not hear or speak of the issue again.
Hope keeps us going but dwelling on the past is dangerous.

We would not have a whistle blower if we weren't cheating. Our frustrations should be directed at the ones who promised us "good governance and other stuff" .... Remember that??

Other clubs cheating doesn't justify why we had to cheat.

It does because without cheating you can't assemble a competitive team.

You think we cheated for the fun of it? We cheated because it was the only way to get enough TPAs together to build a strong squad.

The Dogs in 2002 could take cuts in pay, but not us? Why not?

What a day...

While we deserve everything we got, given the complete idiocy and incompetence displayed by our so-called leaders over the last half a dozen years, it still is a huge kick in the guts.

I feel a little bit empty tbh.

Why have a cap that involves money thou? It restricts players earnings.

Why not give a team say 1000 points and each player earns points based on last seasons form. Then you build a team that way.

It would be the only fair way to do things. And you open a draft where guys you do not want go into.

Has Steve Sharp eclipsed Joel Reddy and Jono Wright as the most oxymoronic name in the nrl?

Hey Ron what makes it worse is i go for Phili.

We just signed what i think is a bust QB and paid the earth for him. Then drafted a bunch of ex crims who are high risk and know one wanted.

our board are fckn hopeless. members of board told to resign so we can play for points and they are refusing. they stuff us and now have chance to try and make it better and they refuse. Get rid or watmough who wont play again anyway and get rid of the 5 board members.

The sad thing is that the press Confrence the auditor said that had we been upfront from the start in the first investigation and the second investigation the penalty would not have been so bad.

Cheers To the board!!

#goodgovernance

And we would've had to shed f**king players you idiot. Do you undersrand the NRL is about the strength of your roster?

Christ.....can you imagine the complaints about the allocation of points to players?

It's fair enough to challenge the parts of the preliminary ruling that we believe are in error (in fact, it's the right thing to do). If there are bits where we know we're as guilty as hell, we take our medicine.

In the mean time, I support the team like I always have. Whether the administration can be fixed while it is associated with the Parra Leagues Club.....I dunno....but other options aren't easy either.
