Daniel Anderson wanted a contract extension.
Who?
Daniel Anderson wanted a contract extension.
Who?
Well our last two coaches proved they couldn't. There are only a couple of coaches who have proved they can turn a club around. Why not take the risk on an unknown? What was the alternative?
Life's full of certainty.
What a concept! Playing to their strengths... might even get a mention at the next coaching clinic SK is due to attend?A Rookie? Maybe Shane Flannagan was the rookie we needed? Not going too shabby at the sharks with a half back we discarded. He is certanly doing one thing SK hasnt yet to deliver, get players to play to their strengths
So why not take the risk on another rookie coach (or any other coach) now, to turn the club around form the lows it's got to under Kearney?
Here's a tip... he clearly has failed. You said yourself earlier in the year that 1 win from the first 5 games would be unacceptable... :crazy:If Kearney fails then I don't see why not.
Hagan couldnt handled the pressure after best part of 10 years NRL coaching at the top level. DA in no way shape or form, had the luxury of the support SK holds, dead man walking. Turn a club around when the club always wanted you out? sure thing....
Alternatives?
We could have seen out DAs contract, made a huge play for Wayne Bennett mid 2011 if the side wasnt firing. There was also JT who got us into the semi finals after Smith left us in dissaray. John Lang is another, Graham Murray ? . A Rookie? Maybe Shane Flannagan was the rookie we needed? Not going too shabby at the sharks with a half back we discarded. I agree with you on the fact SK has proven he can turn the club around. He's turned us around from a somewhat successful, other times mediocre club, into an absolute basket case of a club who can't win a game at all. That's a definite turn around.

And it is unacceptable.
But one thing I learnt from Daniel Anderson's performance in 2010, you can't judge a coach by on-field results.
So, are you an insider?
Hey guys. Convince me to tip Parramatta this week. Go.
(Please).
