So why not take the risk on another rookie coach (or any other coach) now, to turn the club around form the lows it's got to under Kearney?

Well our last two coaches proved they couldn't. There are only a couple of coaches who have proved they can turn a club around. Why not take the risk on an unknown? What was the alternative?

Life's full of certainty.

Hagan couldnt handled the pressure after best part of 10 years NRL coaching at the top level. DA in no way shape or form, had the luxury of the support SK holds, dead man walking. Turn a club around when the club always wanted you out? sure thing....

Alternatives?

We could have seen out DAs contract, made a huge play for Wayne Bennett mid 2011 if the side wasnt firing. There was also JT who got us into the semi finals after Smith left us in dissaray. John Lang is another, Graham Murray ? . A Rookie? Maybe Shane Flannagan was the rookie we needed? Not going too shabby at the sharks with a half back we discarded. He is certanly doing one thing SK hasnt yet to deliver, get players to play to their strengths

What a concept! Playing to their strengths... might even get a mention at the next coaching clinic SK is due to attend?

A ray of sunshine at last.
Where've you been all this time Parraboy?
Have you spoken to Mr Bentley about coaching our top squad yet?

If he was any good he wouldn't have gotten the arse from two different clubs.

At least try and exercise some critical thinking. His career is over and he didn't even retire.

There's no way Bennett would have come to our club. If he wouldn't go to Souths there's no way he'd tarnish his reputation by failing with the Eels and getting sacked.

There was also JT who got us into the semi finals after Smith left us in dissaray.

Taylor proved he doesn't have the temperament when he disgraced himself at Souths.

John Lang is another, Graham Murray ?

Lang is retired and Murray is another coach who only loses grand finals. He hasn't exactly had clubs falling over each other to offer him the head coaching job.

Of course, Maroubra Eel will tell you heaps of clubs wanted him but he preferred being a high performance director.

Yes Robson's certainly been the difference for them this year. :?

Kearney got them playing their best last year, and even this year he's gotten good performances out of different players at different times. But we have an ageing forward pack and it's a feature of old players that they decline each year.

I agree with you on the fact SK has proven he can turn the club around. He's turned us around from a somewhat successful, other times mediocre club, into an absolute basket case of a club who can't win a game at all. That's a definite turn around.

Here's a tip... he clearly has failed. You said yourself earlier in the year that 1 win from the first 5 games would be unacceptable...

:crazy::crazy::crazy: In support of your comment, it just needed a few more Bart.

And it is unacceptable.

But one thing I learnt from Daniel Anderson's performance in 2010, you can't judge a coach by on-field results.

lol @ Casper's special school circle jerk

You're doing your side of the argument more harm than good Casper. Maybe silent support is more your go.

Anderson didn`t prove he couldn`t turn the club around - he wasn`t given enough time, don`t you agree?
