you don't know he didn't have a plan... It was mentioned on here from someone who had 'insider' contacts and somehow that has become gospel. Da had his version of the 'academy', it just was't called that it was called the high performance unit or something along those lines. The thing with sk is we get this 'academy' talk like it's something groundbreaking he's come up with when it's something we've always had and something every club has in some shape or form.

So Kearney just took Bellamy's plan and got a job (oh, and the Pirtek dude wanted him too), good for him and so far even better for us! It is so good for us that we are now writing off next year and looking forward to 2014........

I don't think anyone really builds him up to be anything, only just that we hear so often how shit he was based on results, yet our current coach has won 7 out of 32 games.......the numbers just don't lie.......of course people are going to point out the hypocrisy when some people defend the current coach to the death but use the previous coach's record as a reason to have gotten rid of him!

For what it's worth, you could see that DA was trying to bring structure into the team in 2010, it actually looked a million times more organized than it does now, however often the execution was slow or poor handling got the better of them. If he knew he needed to have a plan, why didn't he come up with one? My guess is that he knew it was futile and they would just find something to get rid of him with.

I am here for the long haul but it would be nice not to be lied to! Tell me you are rebuilding and that 2014 is the earliest we will be competitive......I am happy to give Kearney more time as we have not done this in the past but don't think I am happy about our situation and I also don't believe Kearney is a good coach, don't care if I'm proven wrong or not.......that is my opinion!!!!

How do you know he was not approached by other NRL and Super League clubs about coaching their top squad?

Same with Bennett, Hasler, Bellamy, Gould, Gibson, etc..... most coaches, particularly successful ones would be keen on wanting long-term secured so they can peddle their wares.

You are so seriously misguided Stagger, I don't hate The Parramatta Eels or the Parramatta Eels club or the Parramatta Eels fans or the Parramatta Eels players or the Parramata Eels forumites, etc.... I'm a fan - a true blue and gold fan. However, what I dislike immensely are those liars and deceivers hiding behind the costumes of Parramatta Eels lovers all the while decimitating the club and stuffing all us fans around.

It is not your business what I do privately, whether I come or don't come next Tuesday night. What I share here on this forum is my pregorative as it is yours and serves my best intentions for now. Anyone who knows me well knows I would have no problem whatsoever saying exactly what I think. I don't stuff people around, I'm up front.

We are all different, different styles, characters, ways, methods, attitudes, etc... I don't begrudge you for being who you really are. Do you begrudge me for being who I really am?

I think it's possible to talk/reply about what happened to DA if it comes up without "taking sides"... though Casper wouldn't be the first or last here to take someone's response and generalise beyond what a person actually wrote. I am just morally and ethically bound to stand up for wholeness, to help make right what has been made wrong.
I smell a dead rat. Many other Eels fans smell a dead rat too.
I'll say it again, is my opinion.... There was an agenda to get rid of DA. The people behind this agenda are the dead rat.
I don't like the smell of a dead rat around the home - guess most Eels fans won't like the smell of a dead rat around their club either.
And, I feel that part of this agenda is setting up our club up for privitisation and all the ongoing crap/disasters is part of the gradualness of this orchestrated plan in action.

Bart, go back and read any of my posts, I just don't operate like that.
Example, I was all for Paul Osborbe being our CEO, then it all changed with the DA fiasco. I wanted him out ever since as I still do with all the directors involved in this orchestrated scam. I have never been for Dennis Fitzgerald or against him. I was never for or against 3P either, that's until this DA shit came along and I smelt a BIG dead rat. I really just want to be a fan as I have been since 1962/1963, but now, this is being threatened by people who I feel want to completely change the foundation heart of our club. To me, I have never felt this BIG DEAD RAT before and therefore have never felt the inspiration to get involved in discussions like I now do in this forum. Maybe its just my time to be involved. So both our U16's and U18's played in the GF the year DA left and you reckon he left the juniors in a dire state.

There was nothing wrong with his record - it was very very average. What got him sacked was the lack of progress behind the scenes.
