we missed 2 things ... obviously Hayne ... and Fui - i think fui did 2 decent runs all night and pretty much nothing else, deadset, I forgot he was even playing most the game - i think its the most ineffective game fui has played for f'n ages - he doesn't fire and our go forward suffers :?

and why the hell Tim Mannah was left off the field until 4 mins to go is beyond me - he was our best forward tonight .... bad coaching

Agreed, i kept saying where the hell is Mannah, instead Caylo came on and while solid didn't bend the line at all.

while i think paul gallen is a first rate dickhead - 205 metres, 25 runs, 38 tackles .... how the hell they left this guy out of the NSW team is beyond me - unfortunately we felt the wrath

If Hayne ever leaves to another code or another club the Eels will lose so many members, that club is nothing without Hayne.

Well.....I am still shaking my head. I still can't believe the Eels still keep turning up to games they are expected to win yet keep getting their balls handed to them on a platter. It's like they get stuck in 2nd gear mentally...I dunno, I really expected them to go on with that one. Watch them play a lot better next week and the sharkies get flogged.

we had 2 golden opportunities with the chips to both Burt and Grothe.. sometimes those kicks hold up just enough and we pull it off, other times they drop short and we can't capitalise.
any other night they stick and we win by 12..
interested in hearing other's thoughts on Grothe's attempt at catch though - LU liveupdate is saying he was "lazy" and the Fox sports commentators also commented on it

my theory as to why we lost to the sharks is that subconsciously the players think they are at training doing an opposites drill against the reserves team so they take it too easy

Poore and Mannah comprehensively outscored Cayless and Fui tonight. We desperately needed them out there in the last 15min to tighten up the middle of the ruck where Aiton murdered us.

Loathe as I am to propose changes in a good team but Humble and Mitchell must be breathing down Matt Keating's neck for the utility spot.

Can't wait to see the Telegraph throw us to the wolves tomorrow.

Man.... im just as angry as anyone else but some of you need to take a good look at yourselves. And the one blaming Hayne just should f**k off and follow soccer !

Im with Snoochie, right up till the last 20 seconds I was thinking we can win this.
Some poor decisions & some poor reffing didnt help.

I thought Grothe had a reasonable game first game back, Morts did well considering i reckon he mad as many tackles as Hindy, Ben Smith was strong, Horo good and I was very impressed with Humble.

Pissed we lost to the Sharks who couldnt normally beat Greystanes Under 16's but not suicide material just yet!

One thing though, Im convinced Fox Sports commentators make Nine look like experts, Brandy & Laurie obviously hate us with a passion. To listen to them give both Gallen & Barrett a wrap at the end was just too much! I thought they were close to the Shark's worst. For mine Tim Smith played well and Aton (spelling?) was far & away their best forward.

Does anyone know what Ben Smith said to the ref when he was penalised for being in the ten?

"Amazing" he was pinged for it & Cronulla were not penalised for it the entire game.

if that is what you honestly believe then you are NOT a Parramatta supporter - the team is bigger than any player

in fairness as bad as it seems it is probably true. however they could not call themselves supporters if they do so

I'll stand corrected on my previous post then.
I thought Aton was better than Gallen but I guess he does the less flashy stuff, like Hindy.

agree, even though he's my favourite player at present, and he's by far and away our best player and we'd be sh*t without him, i wouldnt stop following parra, just have to find another guy to bat over.
