ive never seen ben roberts play a good game of footy yet, we will struggle again in the no.6 jersey this year,he has way too many errors in his game,but at least he looks good ....

Bens problem throughout his career is inconsistency. Yesterday he was no good. Looked in two minds. I believe the flatness of our attack Didn't help him last night.

Probably the biggest disappointment last night was Mathew Keating. He was caught with the ball so many times. His passing from dummy half was attrocious and he is just so slow.If he is the best we have got in that position then we have problems. Id usually say that this is only a trial but I've always thought that Matt Keating was not up to the pace of 1st grade. In reserve grade he did ok but he just isn't 1st grade standard.Last few years were pretty bad from him and so was last night. He stifles the attack from the start absolutely hopeless.

Being a trial, id be more worried if he was asked to go back on the field.

Did you watch the same game as I did. Esi got stood up cold by Gareth Ellis. Chayse may not be a winger, but Esi is not a 1st grader.

Esi isnt a first grader...its a trial ffs. And the bloke scored a try. What else you gotta do.

It just seems he is in slow motion at times! If we want to get good value out of Sandow, he needs that ball fast, he was getting it last night and had no chance!

As he is pretty much our only option, we are screwed.....

Poore was impressive imo.

We don't need to win against Penrith but we do need a better effort and more urgency, still losing too much ground and possession due to what appears to be lack of urgency and commitment.

p.s. from the coach's point of view maybe a trial loss is better than a win at least it shows you what you need to work on

whilst we're in the mood to crucify anyone and everyone, i'm surprised no ones mentioned Horo?...stayed down yet again after a hit, albeit it did look high and gave away several stupid penalties.

I had a great look at that hit on him and it was high, the refs were as inept last night as they were all of last year!! Should have been a penalty.......everything else you said is right though.......

He was not alone though, it was very ordinary and they now have 3 weeks to work the kinks out so we can at least be competitive this year.....

i'm wondering why the dumb referees never stopped the game when Allgood was pole axed right in the middle of the ruck? ..... even a blind person could have seen he was out cold and in a bad way ... but no, they basically let the tigers player get up and play the ball ontop of him - I think even the tigers player with the ball and dummy half were looking around wondering wtf play kept going

have they changed the way they will do this? I remember last year play stopping for players who were 30 metres away from the play!!!

I couldn't believe it either, it was obvious from the second he hit the ground that he was out........pretty much set the standard for the rest of the game......for the record, it was poor refereeing on both sides........they were just not up to it imo!
