But Josh's article didn't include any figures, he just stated it was less than his salary.

Must have been. But surely Dean Ritchie would have taken the call....

Josh said $150k this morning. Maybe the SMH guessed ?

Maybe they're both guessing?

And maybe they've both got board members telling them a ball park range 'off the record'

No mention of his 30 year long service leave and accrued holiday pay. Ouch, that would sting and take another chunk of the overdraft.

that was probably already paid out prior to being put on a contract.

I assume anyway.

Long term employees don't usually lose their entitlements when they go on employment contracts. They usually just roll over.

Maybe the Herald just printed it from Josh's scoop yesterday ? ;-)

Gronk it is lovely to see you still believe in freedom of the press, and your sarcasm and scepticism are all still alive and well. As I said I would before the elections, as soon as they were completed, I would step back from everything, including this forum. I was able to talk on behalf of 3P on this forum, but I have no rights in any capacity to talk on behalf of the elected board. I as all of you have been frustrated for information on the out come of the investigation, and am still non the wiser, as I have purposely not put any member of the board in that position by trying to get the sly nod, even though I was busting to. You must understand that we were well aware as a group, that after the elections anyone who were voted onto the board would have to protect their fiduciary responsibilities. Let me tell you it is very frustrating to be so tight, and then be on the outer so very quickly, but consultation with Dr Reschs has helped no end from time to time. To answer some of what eel 4 life has said, this is a process I do believe will fall into place now, and I will guarantee all on this forum that I will be your advocate concerning all said before the election, and will rattle cages on your behalf. The elected members of this board are there to give you a new club, so stop putting the slipper in before they have had a chance to improve anything, and give a realistic time frame for the future of this club to unfold, and it will happen at a very progressive and responsible time frame. Finally I would like to thank Denis and the out going board members for their many years of service with the club. Denis was a very good thing for this club for many years, and I supported him until last year, which is probably stating the obvious. Denis guided this club through its most successful era, but it is time for a new board and a new CEO to move our club to our next great era, it is just sad both sides had to go to the depths to achieve such change. To the doubters still on this forum and certain media hacks, please do not death ride our club for the sake of putting the slipper in, it has to heal and move forward with positive action, and if you cannot be constructive, shut up and move on. Perhaps Denis and I can sit down one day and have a beer, but I somehow doubt that will happen, unfortunately. I will get on and talk with you guys when I can, take care.
Sevens.

I believe in the freedom of the press TL, but wouldn't let that parasite within 10km of the place if I was running the shop and certainly wouldn't be rewarding his rag with any inside goss.

Indeed, Some harm has been done to our club, some could say that it might be irrevocable, and indeed it didn't have to go to that level.

Any rate moving on. Sevens I have to ask, what the hell was Guru thinking with that cross field kick to your side of the ground. You were never going to get close mate.

Eric has never been allowed to kick before, so he said every time he got the ball he was going to kick. I spoke with him earlier today, and he has been to the pyhsio twice this week, so even kicking takes him out of play these days. I seen you outside when we were leaving, but you were in deep conversation with our NZ supporter, so I have a mag at the Wests game. Keep the fitness program going, its going well for you. On irrevocable, yes some friendships have gone that way, but at club level it can only happen if people keep turning the knife, and then putting the slipper in....its up to all stakeholders to take some resposibility in that department.

Yeah I was shocked and stunned when I saw our NZ mate (_GoParra for those that remember him from the Official forum), and his young mate. Dead set I swear that kid has grown 3 feet in 2 years.

I haven't started the fitness program just yet. That is for this next 4 weeks, I had to wait 6 weeks after the operation and I had another minor procedure on Tuesday that has caused some issues with my scars that might mean taking it easy for the rest of this week but from next week the fitness program starts in earnest.

Thats the problem, the club is the people within it, regardless if you like them or not.

When you start, just make sure you do something everyday, does not matter how small, just condition the brain that you have to get off your arse everyday and then it becomes a natural process that you become accustomed. As soon as you start having breaks or days off, you reverse the results, we have all done it. Mental is the biggest factor of physical.
