Aitken had a great second half last night.
Made a try saving tackle on Dugan in the corner.
Scored a great try in the corner using speed and strength.
Ran Feki down from behind to stop a certain try.
If he continues to play like that then we will have a good year down that right hand side.
Its great to see him play to his potential.
The running down of Feki surprised me I thought he had no chance of running him down . Hope he keeps on improving ......

Took him a while to get into top gear but he did certainly pull him in.
That's ok when you have more than half a field to do it in.
Not sure why Feki didn't step infield as that would have made it much harder as I am not sure Aitken is that nimble to adjust at top speed.

Yea see your point , but he has lifted his game in some areas as I have been not a big fan of his but I am happy for him to shove it up me every week ....

I've not once ever doubted Aitken; he is ten number one centre at the club by a considerable distance. His sometimes haphazard defence would be improved with better coaching.

Other than this, he is capable of SOO in the future.

He still has trouble taking the high ball.

Has Aitken slept with your sister or something ? Your constant death riding of him is humorous to say the least
I am not death riding him. I was cheering to the max when he scored last night. I will ask you, how many time have you seen him pass the ball? I know that it is very rare for him to have passed the ball. I actually noticed this when watching him play in the 20 and he still hasn't learnt to pass the ball.

Where are all the euan Aitken detractors and haters now that his been talked about for state of origin? The kid was always a gun player just needed time to develop now all the dragons need is to replace nightingale and lafai with lomax and Mann
I am still here. lol I think it is a joke that Aitken is being talked about for origin. Go and watch his highlight reel on Youtube and besides running down the Cronulla winger, you won't see much different to what he produced last night.

I will also add that I thought Aitken had his best game that he has played for us, but he still didn't pass the ball.
FF when did you think last night he should have passed and not run?
I didn't see any problems with not passing last night at all. In the last couple of games he has backed himself and scored tries due to that decision.
You don't have to pass if you are running over the top of blokes and scoring tries. Do you?

There's more to footy than highlight reels.

Your lack of understanding of what constitutes a good footballer makes these debates a waste of time.

Dale Finucane, Euan Aitken eyeing Blues selection
Local Sport

Cheering: Celebrating a grand final win with Cameron Smith, Dale Finucane has another reason to cheer with his selection for an Extended Blues training squad.

Both Dale Finucane and Euan Aitken are on Brad Fitler’s radar.

Aitken was announced earlier this week as part of the NSW Emerging Blues roster, while Finucane has been named in a 32-man extended Blues training squad.

Both the Melbourne Storm lock and St George Illawarra centre were in the thick of contention for a jumper in 2018, but Finucane was snubbed after a broken thumb sidelined him for a month, while Latrell Mitchell was given the shot in the centres.

Aitken said it was his dream to be named to play for the Blues and that the selection for the Emerging outfit was a good marker on the way to that.

“Blues selection is a dream of mine so I’ll always do my best to try and get into that team,” he said.

“It’s definitely a confidence boost being named for the Emerging Blues and it will be a good stepping stone to be part of that system.”

The former Merimbula-Pambula Bulldog has played internationally for Scotland, but has aspirations to make it as a Wallaby one day.

“Right now the focus is having a good pre-season to put myself in the best position to have a good year for the Dragons.”

It’s a sign that Aitken is back on track after being hamstrung by a series of injuries in earlier seasons, but an off-season epidural provided a catalyst for managing his problem areas.

“We have done some outside the box things in terms of my injuries, but in saying that, it’s a testament to the performance staff and physios at the club,” he said.

They picked a player with no nrl games in that emerging blues squad, as well as some Fittler favs like Mitchel Moses.

Fitler just likes certain players I don’t know why.

Poor Euai..probably got the Merrin disease of believing your an origin player and ready prior to you are.
Bloody Fittler and the media spreading it...its contagious
In respect to JDB..I think he should be looking over his shoulder cause the backrow is choc full of talent for NSW. I need to see his attacking game go to another level. But I bet he does not have to.

Fittler is a complete tosser as is Joey Johns they make me puke.
I have been a harsh critic of JDB over the years and have to say he improved a lot last year and deserved his SOO jumper but you are correct in saying there is a heap of high quality players breathing down his neck and IMO some have a fair bit more up top for thinking and offer more in attack.
Jack better make sure he doesn't dill dally getting back into the defensive line like he did a fair bit last year and best he doesn't read all the press clippings either.

I wouldn’t mine seeing Aitken on the wing. He wouldn’t need to have a strong passing game, His returns from kicks would be great to watch, he’d be in space and is strong on contact.
Any thoughts?

Will be bombed worse than the London blitz.
Also his body shape doesn’t lend to quick turn and chase so would be a target for a kick in behind him as well.
