WM, don't get over-confident, lets not forget England didn't even qualify for Euro2008, so there are no easy matches, not even in the group stage. They need all hands on deck if they want to advance past the group stage...

So you don't think Young could play behind a front man or Sturridge has looked good at Chelsea? Or you don't really know what your talking about with regards to English football?

Your obsessed bud.

Its good being a pommy. Such a green and pleasant land.

Robert Green could play there but the fact we're discussing players like Daniel Sturridge says it all really but I'd be more worried about who will plug that shitty defence- the slow Terry? The never fit Ferdinand? The scrub Cahill?

Who will distribute from the centre of a shitty midfield? The tried and failed Gerrard or Lampard? Owen Hargreaves lol???

and who will cause problems getting in behind defensive lines from that shitty attack? Agbonlahor? Wright-Phillips lol

Another chance to see over hyped English primma donnas exposed. I didn't think missing Euro 2008 would be topped as soon as 2010

I'm struggling to name the best 11 for England.
It mostly consists of old heads that are beginning (or already have) to dwindle, particularly in central midfield. They could do worse than bleed their young talent now.

Don't worry about over cofidence. This is the England football team. They are the perfect case study for messing up big comps. I just don't think its the disaster its made out to be. We are a weaker side without Rooney, but we are not a weak side.

Whats wrong with Sturridge? He is forcing himself into the first team at Chelsea and is better than Malouda and Kalou so will probably stay there. You can have your Arsenal winning Bundesliga debate, but this is Chelsea, they would walk that league and you know it.

Barring injury as you never know who will be injured (except Rio as you have already decided he won't be fit) the England team for next summer could easily be:

-------------Hart
Richards---Terry---Smalling/Rio---Cole
--------Cleverly----Wilshire
Walcott-----Rooney------Young
------------Welbeck

Good pacey young team. Jones will be on the bench or possibly right back.

With Fabio in charge you may get Milner instead of Walcott for stability. We will probably play to slow, but hopefully Wilshire and Cleverly will speed things up a bit.

For Rooney suspension, Gerrard can play there.

One to watch is Chamberlain at Arsenal, he already looks better than Walcott, but its early days yet.

Yet AGAIN you can't direct a post towards me without mention the BL, wtf does the BL have to do with England? Who gives a shit if Chel$ki would walk the BL that doesn't mean the English players in the EPL aren't scrubs.

That team you named will get dominated. Some kid looks better than Walcott lol Walcott couldn't even get on a plane to South Africa, absolute shit player with only thing going for him and that's 100m sprint style pace but what good is that when your football brain is non existant?

Rooney is the only half decent player in that team, I mean you guys are f**king shit with him how bad will you be without him

Deluded as ever, I think you should just keep to the Man U dungeon.

Your belief about Sturridge. Mearly pointing out he is getting in a team better than most in Europe, but you think he is a scrub (a what now?).

As for the rest, you should just stop discussing anything to do with England. Your last post put SWP in the England team for crying out loud.
It is 2011 where you are isn't it?

Some great results tonight, most notably in the two matches i tipped to be the blockbusters; Denmark 2-0 Portugal :D and Sweden 3-2 Netherlands, must have been great games...

So, here are the teams that have now officially qualified;

Poland
Ukraine
Germany
Netherlands
Greece
Italy
Russia
England
Denmark

A lot of playoff spots still hang in the balance as there matches at HT and still in progress as I write... most notably though;

HT: France 0-1 Bosnia, France will lose top spot if it stays this way!

Also, Serbia will not even make the playoffs unless they can equalise (60th min)

edit; C.Ronaldo has pulled one back for the Portuguese in the 90th...

Dam, France equalised, here are the teams that have qualified;

Poland
Ukraine
Germany
Netherlands
Greece
Italy
Russia
England
Denmark
France
Spain
Sweden (most points from 2nd placed teams)

That leaves only 4 places and 8 teams left to fight it out (we learn who plays who on Thursday):

Turkey
Croatia
Bosnia
Portugal
Estonia
Ireland
Montenegro
Czech Republic

Italy look really good under Prandelli. Very excited for EURO 12.

Still lack a bit of quality compared to the favourites, which IMO should be Spain, Germany and Holland.

Surprised Portugal didn't go through.

Are the teams seeded for the playoff or could we get a situation where Bosnia play Montenegro?

Seeded. And UEFA made that pretty clear at the beginning of Qualification so the farce of the WC Play-Offs didn't occur again. From the looks of it the seeds will be Portugal, Croatia, Turkey and Ireland.

I look forward to the epic group of death next year, I wonder if Euro 2008's one can get topped

I wonder if the republic of Ireland will replay their game vs Armenia like they wanted the French to do the other year.
The Armenian goalie sent of for hand ball when it wasn't, and their was a hand ball in the build up to it.
After the crying about Henrys handball, they should do.

Other than that, went to plan except Denmark. Should be a good comp.

Can't see past Spain to win it, with the Dutch and Germans behind.
If it all goes well, England and Italy have a chance as they are good team. But it would have to go very well.

Ca'arn Estonia.

Disappointing that Belgium and Serbia didn't make it, as I consider them to be better teams than than Greece and Montenegro.

Germany apparently set a record by being the first team ever to win all ten qualifiers.:D

Yeah you didn't pull me up on shit

Wright-Philips in the England team?
That we have players who can pass in midfield?
We have players who are quick in attack?
Players who can defend?
That losing Rooney isn't a disaster?

No no, you were right about everything...

Carry on.

CC - Didn't Spain win all there games? I'm sure Holland has done it before also. Maybe wrong though. Or do you mean win 10 different qualifying groups?

I'd be putting France in that category with England and Italy. They've improved dramatically under Blanc and are performing more consistently but they're still a level down from Spain/Germany/Holland.

Nice also to see Sweden back at a major tournament after missing the WC. A fun team to watch and their fans are great too.

Ignore function, use it.

Wright-Philips in the England team?

Players who can defend?

The answer to all is no

Just stfu seriously you can have your wank, England don't match up any of the main contenders, your players are massively overrated who think they're better than they are like dickheads like you.

Losing Rooney isn't a bad thing for the Euro though since he can't score goals at major tournaments anyway
