Dimitri Quote ''and many of other players too!'' end quote.

In the words of Maggy Thatcher; NAME THEM! Tell me who they are.

You've listed 5 players so far.
They're mainly forwards.
Wingers.

Your team doesn't even consist of reserves let alone halves and whatnot.
WA and rugby League = .1%.

What a wasted avenue.

Please name me any club who is full with their own local juniors.

The last time the Reds were in existence there were already local juniors and there will be more.

With the Toyota Cup now acting as a solid platform - things will only get much better if the Reds finally got their team back

The tv contracts cannot be signed for 5 or 10 year periods, if we want to keep growing the game. There should be a new tender and a new contract for every 1 or 2 seasons, to keep expansion options a lot more flexible, and also to make sure the price is right.

How can a human being from Perth cheer a team made up of interstate players?
It'll be another manufactured team.
Ummm how many Melbourne born players are in the comp???

And FYI Daniel holdsworth and Lee Te Maari are also from WA. They can join that team if they want!!! Do your research a little more ay?

Oh look, another expansion thread!

Couldn't have just added to the countless thousands there already are? :sleeper:

Gus works in finance now? People won't be free with their money. They're going to remember this for a long time and will be more careful with their money if anything.

I'm happy to expand provided two years later they don't say oops and we find teams on the way out and we're back to where we started. Teams are still struggling as is. They've gotta get the teams they've got first out of the red before they go dragging others into the mess.

Once the dust settles you think people won't try to live a little?

Oh look, someone wasting their time posting on a thread they don't care about. If you don't like it topic, ignore it and don't submit a post. simple..

In regard to expansion, Central Coast need a team but not at the expense of another potential expansion team. Relocate a Sydney team.

WA should get the other.

It's not about not liking a topic, it's about having the 49,674th thread dedicated to the same topic, all because the thread creator obviously thinks his opinion is more important than everyone elses on the matter :sleeper:

I agree with your thoughts

2012 is stilla long way away and both CC and WA have done a lot of work in getting ready for it!

Has to be those 2 teams!

Id like to see WA play one season in QLD cup before and NRL to do A LOT more work in WA promoting the game, membership for the REDS etc.
The Reds declined an opportunity to play in the NSW Cup this season as they felt it was too soon to jump up a division. They will most likely be offered the opportunity to enter the NSW Cup again at the end of the 2009 season.

Well they are doing the right thing by taking baby steps to get there. I like the way both they and the CC Bears are handling it.

Lets re-assess after the recession. The AFL can afford to bankroll a few new teams, the NRL can not afford this.

That was going to happen, when the North Sydney Bears started construction on what would become Bluetounge Stadium with the goal of becoming the Central Coast Bears the following season (A SYDNEY TEAM RELOCATING TO THE CENTRAL COAST). However, they went bankrupt attempting this and were forced into a merger with Manly, then were left in the lurch when Manly exercised the option in the merger deal which gave them the rights to the NRL Licence if the merger failed.

Therefore, the Bears are the rightful Sydney-based team to relocate to Gosford. The Reds have been doing the right things and making the right sounds to get a team into the NRL as well. And, if there is a God, rather than Cronulla relocating to Adelaide they will instead fold and the Rams will make a comeback :D

Exactly right. The NORTH-SYDNEY BEARS are the SYDNEY based team moving to the Central Coast (Bears). That part is clear.

I don't think my opinion is more important than anyone elses. The topic was raised on the footy show yesterday so I made a new thread and raised it here - it wasn't about expansion in general, it was about that particular part of expansion.

Who is the Ceo of the WA Reds.? Is anyone spearheading their campaign?
It would be funny if people here just talked about WA reds but no one is actually doing anything about it.

We all know Florimo is orchestrating the return of the Nth Sydney Bears.
What about the Reds??

Here, I've got an idea....why don't BRS, NZ, MLB, Cowboys, Reds, ADL, Crushers, Gold Coast and the second NZ team f*ck off and start its own comp!
Get this....it's NRL...NSW rugby league! We started this sh*t and you other cums high jacked it! F*ck the lot of you!

Actually, Rugby clubs in the North of England started this when they wanted to pay their players for missing work days when they had to travel long distances to the South of England to play Union.

If your ill-logic is followed, then no one in Australia should be playing Rugby League. Actually, if we follow your mindless ramblings back to their illogical conclusion, Rugby of all codes should have ceased existing when William Webb Ellis stopped getting shafted up the arse and went and got himself a job.

Go 6to 20 teams by adding CC, a 2nd NZ side and a 3rd SEQ side. Already existing areas with league fans and sponsorship opportunities - and for the 2nd NZ side a large junior base and ability to trade from Union to boost this asset.

The 20th? Let the potential expansion areas fight it out.

As for the $, teams are funded locally, plus TV rights anyway.

The big issue is revamping the finals to make all games relevent to the final rounds like it is now.

It has to be Central Coast and WA Reds. To put another team in Qld instead of WA would be a terrible idea. The Reds have the fanbase and the groundwork.
